Sprint Car Engine teardown! Engine revive after 25 years

Welcome! In this video we will tear down and engine that was retired decades ago and we will attempt to make a good core for our 500HP sprint car engine!!!

Hey Lotta work hope that engine works out for you looks like it came out of a stock car. You going mechanical roller cam? Keep up the good work I now the kind of dedication it takes to race these cars! What size track is your home track?do you have to run spec heads?😊

home track is 3/8 mile. It's fairly wide. The rules on the heads are iron heads with valve spring spec restrictions. Limits the rpm to 6800 or so. The cams must be flat tappet by regulation in this case. We run 350 iron block iron heads. Some run 305 aluminum heads.

I should add that we have stack restrictions as well. We may change to exhaust restrictors as a rule. To be determined
