I bought I my first Spridget a little over 50 years ago. Thank you Donald and Geoff Healey for these wonderful little cars. If I win the lottery, I'm going after the factory Targa Florio and Lemans Sprites!

Yes sir. I bought my Frogeye back in 73 and it's followed my my whole life since. I absolutely love everything about Sprites/Midgets and especially racing versions. Thanks for sharing your English car passion with us.

Great car! Great to see MAM still exists. Raced SCCA there for many years and always did well. I can still do laps in my mind. So many great memories of that track and all my friends.

Interesting, you are, only using 3 and 4 during a lap.

It must be nice to have such a lovely little race car and the availability of a track to thrash it on! Good on'ya, Steve!

great video! I am starting to build a Sebring Sprite fiberglass body ,with a 1964 MG Midget as a donor body. I look forward to more videos with your Sebring. I have enjoyed several other bugeye videos that you have posted also.

Steve, the car looks good, motor sounds good. I told Ken to get it on your chassis dyno. We used a VP276 cam, which more of street performance cam, so maybe not hot as needed for all-out racing. When we built this engine to FIA 998 sec for road rally, I knew it would have to do some lower speed stuff and have some street manner. It right at 10.0 to 1 so a way to wake it more would be moe race cam and little more compression ratio. Now it should fine off 93 premium.

Dang, you had a beautiful day to be out at the track! If I had known, I would have buzzed down to Pacific Junction and sneaked to a good spot along the fence to see the Sprite run... used to take my Saab Sonett to SCCA time trial events there. I really miss doing car stuff!

So which way did you go with the adjustment to make the improvement? I picked up a GP Sprite last ago with the adjustable Armstrong on the rear but have never done anything to them. We're hoping to make Blackhawk next month and I'd like to have an idea about how to adjust the shocks. Very jealous you have a Sprinzel Sprite. I was communicating with John years ago over some period parts and am fascinated by his history. Dan

I shouldn't be surprised that it's flat in the midwest, but it sure is flat out thar! How far do you have to go to find a hillclimb?

Neat car, but your inputs seem fairly smooth while the car is all over the lot. Can’t tell enough about the track surface from the video. I think you need to concentrate on basics on the car before you delve into complications, so you can smooth things out. In any event, it’s all interesting, and a little more coverage would not go amiss. Thanks and take care.

Underpowered, overweight with mediocre suspension, brakes and steering. How about something worthwhile, like an Elan?
