Thanks for posting this. I have just started my sprouts and wondered about the water. Our tap water is very high quality but does have chlorine. I don't really taste it though.

I just started sprouting seeds also this winter on a regular basis . It's a fix for a gardening nut like me . I buy my seeds at a store in Moncton called Sequoia .Trying Broccoli sprouts starting tonight . They have a great selection at a reasonable price .Joyeux Noel Painchaud .

I'm just being lazy I guess haha. Though I am going to start! I think it would make a nice xmas gift haha. So how about you show us how you use those sprouts....I know they're delicious on their own but I imagine you must have recipes that includes sprouts or something, am I right? ;)

Beards and Branches Well recipes not much actually..but I do use them in salads, wraps, and sandwiches. Besides that there's the sprouted grains that can get turned into flour. I'll have a bread recipe eventually.

The distilled water clearly looked the worst. Any ideas why?
@painchaud20006 жыл бұрын
burnquist1 probably because all tge minerals in the water have been removed with the distilation process

How about mineral water?
@painchaud20008 жыл бұрын
ldl2 No idea. But since a lot of water selling plant get their water from the minicipalies I guess it should give similar results
@highplains77775 жыл бұрын
As long as it doesn't have too many dissolved solids, I bet it would work fine.

If your tap water has chlorine in it, the results are different. Did my own test between tap and distilled water, the difference is night and day.

different how though? I dont care about the taste just the benefits

This experiment is not really logical, the bean sprouts needs minerals to grow. Try adding some Himalayan salt to the distilled water and redo the experiment.
