And I think it was on the same day that it was revealed to us players and also many of his coworkers. Only a few (including Yoshi-P) knew his condition but as Soken (also due to Japanese mentality) wanted everyone to still do their best work and handled equally they agreed to keep it a secret. And let him work from the hospital where he made "To the edge" (one of many FF14 bangers)

Soken went into the hospital to battle cancer, came out with the power to dual wield Otomatones, the man cannot be stopped!!!

I don't remember the whole translation but I'm pretty sure la hee means wake up in the old ronkan language in game lore. Soken is a lovable gremlin and a real blessing to have for the game and community.

So the la hee vocals are actually from a stock vocal pack and not written by Soken, but he created a whole song around them. Same for the Bozja vocals. So it doesn't actually mean anything in game or otherwise.

KZbin gets weird about links, but you can look up "FFXIV | Rak'tika and Gangos/Bozja voice original samples" to see the sample packs that were used.

​​​​@@TarundiMC the vocals not written by him was correct though the writers still made a lore around the word "la hee". It's also the title of one of Qitari beast tribe quests which is basically the player waking up the sleeping golems within the Ronkan pyramids.

It'd be so funny, if they switched the Raktika theme to Soken's life-performance each April the first. ^^ Annoying as hell, but still funny. :D What was that? That was Soken's first performance after leaving the hospital, after beating cancer.
