I lived in Spryfield since I was six years old (back in 1980), but had to move to Newfoundland in 2008 for employment reasons. I never heard of "Spryfield Days" either. Spryfield does have a popular annual parade called "Spryfield Santa Claus Parade" every late November. Since Spryfield is now becoming Halifax's "Incubator of Legends" as its the home of the greatest athletes, coaches, poets, politicians, and actors of all time, to be a Spryfielder is a big honour.

Great video guys! This really offers a new perspective on this community. It will be exciting to see how Spryfield develops and evolves moving forward. One thing is for sure, It's location relative to downtown is quite spicy!

Once a Spryfielder, always a Spryfielder. With Spryfield becoming home to the greatest politicians, athletes, coaches, actors, and poets of all time as well as being "household names", this Halifax community is now called "The Incubator of Legends". Did you know that Spryfield is also home to the first Special Olympics athlete to be inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame?

Is this the gentrification of my beloved Sprytown? What would Local Dre say?
@HalifaxHercules2 жыл бұрын
I grew up in Halifax's Spryfield and Herring Cove areas. While I've been living in Corner Brook for nearly 14 years, Spryfield is always my home. Each time I return to Spryfield or any part of Halifax for vacation, I'm amazed at how much its changed in a short period of time. Too bad Spryfield doesn't have any parks, monuments, or statues of iconic figures whom put this outer city community on the map.
