Considering all the time manipulation that happens in the sonic series, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve been going through the same year throughout all their adventures. For example, no matter what you want to think, Sonic 06 did happen, and most of the events in the game take place in a span of 2 to 3 days, but because of the ending, those days never happened, and they went back to the day of the sun. Another, less complicated example would be sonic generations, where in the game, time doesn’t really move correctly. This means that the game took place basically within the span of 1 to 5 minutes.

Most likely new years since sonic has a birthday in generations, but since in most planets time is usually longer than it is on earth, years on mobius are probably longer then on earth

RIP Adobe Flash animations and games on the internet, how I will miss some of the loading screens that actually were entertaining. It's great to hear some of the genesis animations of Sonic are being rescued and returned to former glory after all of these years, but it really won't be the same experience again, especially with KZbin's constant adverts.

I'm mostly sad because years ago I found a download version of the Mata Nui online game - which needs a browser with Flash to play - and a couple of the old Bionicle Flash videos. Now I can't play them anymore. I wonder though if the removal of Flash also counts for the Puffin browser. When Adobe removed Flash from phones a couple of years ago I got that one to continue visiting sites with Flash content.
