My son is autistic. He is only 12 at the moment, but he can't verbalize his feelings. I don't want to cripple him by having him be solely dependent on ME to speak for him, but I don't know how to NOT speak for him. This clip reminds me that there is so much more under the surface, so much that even my son himself can't necessarily access. It may all come bubbling up or exploding out one day, and I hope that if I can't be the one to simply be there, I hope SOMEONE caring enough and understanding enough IS there. @@lindaleelaw5277meds don’t always fix it, and it’s more than just overwhelmed…… I’m not autistic, but my mental illnesses mimic autism. Imagine being in a pool and life is good. All of a sudden, someone yanks the stopper from the drain, that pool turns into a whirlpool and what you were floating on suddenly disappears. There’s nothing you can grab onto, the spinning gets faster and you’re getting dragged deeper and deeper into an abyss you don’t think you’ll ever come back out of. It’s kinda like that.

this is a perfect example of how it is a constant struggle to try and live life with autism on the high functioning side of things, I don't believe people truly understood/understand what its like to live with it and Freddie here did his research well and portrayed this moment very well to the point that I almost cried because I have to live life like his character not to the same extent(as I am a bit higher up on the spectrum) but very similar I love this show just because I can just go to clips like this and show it to those I love and care about and tell them what I feel by using clips like these as examples of my emotions that I have difficulties describing, all and all great show and great acting 10/10
