Been running this on my TT 2.0 stage 1 for several months without issues. I was concerned about emissions going up but had it MOTd last month and values are not just well within specs but they're actually better than when I had the OEM PCV valve system in.

what do you do about the hoses on the other end of the engine that go to the turbo

The problem with this is u are doing away work the front port which the I take manifold uses vacum to pull the crankcase vapors out an these engines have alot if blow by especially when cold an the rear port that is still retained is the one that operates from the small amount of vaccum the intake side where ur air filter draws air has some vaccum when in boost but when idling it doesn't so it cant evacuate the preassure on idle an will cause oil leaks of not added extra vents to valve cover. I'm dealing with it now I bought the spullen v2 africa plate an its giving me possitive pressure on idle. Called usp motors sports an they would not let me speak to the designer or engineer yet the guy on the phone could go ask him for me ... an never did help me with why I spent 250 on this plate an I have this issue since the part lists that is evacuates all crankcase preassure properly yet it doesn't on idle. An that's called false advertising if u ask me.. an I'm already not happy they wouldn't help me after I bought their item. They said cuz I didnt buy their ugly spherical catch can to go with the plate that was the cause but my s max catch can that's baffled is less restrictive then theirs. So I know that's not the problem. And I'm using high full flow 10AN fittings better then the regular ... I'm lost but that's the issue with these Africa plates.m hope that cleared it up.. dont believe me open ur oil cap while idling with the plate on.. gets little better when warm. The tsi 2.0 has loose piston ring tolerances already but this plate just needs vaccum to evacuate like its factory installed has. Might mess around an instal a small vaccum pump to the catch can maybe..

Would this not create excessive pressure in the engine? Could it not also cause engine to smoke?

Yes, in fact, it will aggravate any oil leak that you may have on your motor, often near shaft seals.
@lorddragoono5 жыл бұрын
Yup. This will destroy your engine.
@gmctech4 жыл бұрын
You CANNOT AND MUST NOT block off the crankcase... It's fine to block off the upper part on your valve cover but you must vent you crankcase to atmosphere and add an oil catch can or just a stink pipe if you're okay with engine oil coating your cars underbody. Crankcase pressure, unvented will blow your front and rear main seals out....

can we put it on 1.8 tsi bzb motor(oktavia 5 2008 mod)???????
@EpicBoyGamer3 жыл бұрын
Put this on and it’s been throwing codes ever since. Also creates positive pressure at idle. I would much rather keep replacing the OEM pcv every so often.

Yes. If you watch, he states that you can use all 3 plugs if you don't need a vacuum/boost signal from the tap.

The pcv block off is terrible for the FSI motor. You need to run a catch can. Other wise your just feeding that pressure with the oil somewhere else.
@uspmotorsports10 жыл бұрын
A catch can may be a better choice, but the price is also much more. The block off acts similar to the factory pcv without being prone to failure.
@trevonmessina26610 жыл бұрын
Running the catch can adapter with an intake manifold block off and using a cheap godspeed catch can will do you more good than causing more crud to get to the valves.

No it's there to keep tree huggers happy and carbon up our valevtrain components..... it's always job #1 for anything I own to IMMEDIATELY DELETE AND BLOCK OFF THE PCV SYSTEM and vent that crankcase to atmosphere with an oil catch can.
