@Alexander Rapp You're super over estimating things/basing this on pre built rigs (which this is not). I have a very similar setup to what's in this video and it was $8,000 shipped to the US. My setup: Sim labs P1X cockpit, Simucube 2 pro wheel base, cube controls GT pro wireless controller, Heusinkveld Sprint Racing Pedals, Fanatec CS v1.3 shifter. The nicer part on this rig in the video is obviously the pro shifter which is $1600~. If you build it yourself this rig is less than $10,000 for sure. If you buy one sure maybe whatever what you said. But you shouldn't shit on people because you don't understand the concept of building something yourself.

@@openedwire u can't buy those (diy) actuators, prebuild actuators are very expensive.. that diy sfx100 project is around 2000..
@openedwire3 жыл бұрын
@@Arvidje That's not true. There are nicer versions of the parts for the sfx 100 project that have been machined from aluminum and come as kits that you can buy. The same ones that are in this video. Yes, it's still DIY, but its not 3D printed plastic. That being said, the legitimacy of that kit in the community is questionable (they are said to have violated the terms of the sfx 100 project). I still bought them because they are high quality. Shipped to the US with everything you need (Thanos controller, servos, drivers, all aluminum parts, etc) it's $3300. I was still able to build something very similar to the rig in this video for less than $8,000. This is the setup I run on my rig: eracing-lab.com/collections/diy-projects/products/diy-mega-1

@@Arvidje I'm just trying to spread the good word my dude. I know sim racing (especially full motion) is an expensive hobby, and even at $8k its a large barrier to entry and anyone who can afford that is very lucky. But It doesn't have to be $50k. People on the internet love to over state the cost of something to dissuade people. The dude trying to justify the $30k price tag is counting the cost of iphones, racing seats, gopros, and other dumb shit that isn't needed and still couldn't get to 30k. When talking about full motion rigs, its the cost of the rig. Obviously you need a PC, monitors, and other components, but people here are only referring to the rig, this is a sub $10k rig for sure. I just want to encourage people who may have the extra funds to get involved in the hobby and let them know that the barrier to entry is closer to $5k than it is to $50k.

You can build that Sfx-100 motion rig (with the frame but without the extra moving seat) for around $3000-$4000. The wheel, pedals, shifter, e-brake, button box, pc and monitors are all extra, but I have a similar sfx-100 motion rig setup that I built for $8000 all in. It’s still high priced but should make it a little more feasible. The way I see it is it’s equivalent to 4 real track days, but you get unlimited racing out of this 😁

@@imranmohd4770 no prob! Here’s a link to the website on how to build it: opensfx.com There is also a Facebook group called SFX-100 Motion Sim Owners Group with hundreds of people who have built the same system and give tips and guidance for new builders if needed. It’s a great way to get high performance motion (similar to D Box or PT Actuator), but for a fraction of the price. The quality of the build (permitting you build it properly) far exceeds a DOF Reality system. Good luck on whatever you decide to do!

Sucks for long sessions and the resolution is so bad I can't even read the options menu in dirt rally 2.0. I suppose something like a valve index would be a better option for higher refresh rate and increased resolution, but holy shit the rift s sucks ass for simracing.
