Ford Escape 2009 XLT has 2 more clips mid bumper above the license plate. I used 2 slats of plastic I had from window blinds and blue tape and a flat screwdriver between the 2 slats and the bumper popped off. I watched this well done video to fix broken windshield water pump. Thanks

I have these and was wondering if there is a way to keep the low beams on with the high beams

unfortunately they cannot. This is due to the design of the vehicle. the low beam power gets cut off when high beam is triggered.

my 2010 Escape in Canada has DRLs, but they run the hi-beams through a resister, so one would have to disable the DRL module and run a dedicated line to the LED's in the Spider light?

Are the turn signal bulbs supposed to stay on all the time? I can't get mine to turn off when I turn the lights on or when they come on due to auto-turn on.

I'm very interested in these lights for my escape ..can I use an hid kit with them and if so what is the bulb type?

You can use an aftermarket HID Kit and the bulb size is an H1

+Spyder Auto What kind of lens are you using in the housing? HID bulbs need the right kind of lenses to work properly (decent spread across the road, while also increasing overall range.) If I buy this kit, will I simply end up with a brighter halogen setup? Second, the high-beams... Are those the HID, or regular Halogen bulbs? My problem is that I want better high-beams AND low-beams. I have thought about simply buying an HID bulb kit for my stock housings, but the lack of independent focus for low/high has me worried about the possibility of blinding oncoming motorists. I cannot adjust the current housings or I end up with high that are too low, or lows that are too high. Does your kit have independent adjustments for the high and low bulbs? Seriously. I want to know, because I am looking to buy a set in January.

+CynicalDriver we usually do not recommend our customers to install aftermarket HID kit. there are so many HID kits in the market we cannot guarantee how well they can perform with our product. but a good reliable HID brand kit can work well for some of our customers from their feedbacks. the HID bulb's position is the main key of what makes the projector lens to perform well or not. i personally have seen a lot of cheap aftermarket HID bulbs are longer than the standard halogen bulbs. they cause the projector lens to out of focus and some in some cases they get too close to the lens and burn them. unfortunately i cannot advise you any further as we do not produce any HID kits. as of individual adjustments yes we do feature that in both low beam and high beam separately.

+CynicalDriver due to liability issue our products are all DOT compliant. most if not all aftermarket HID kits are not DOT approve/compliant, we cannot be responsible to those products we did not produce. however, some unauthorized retailers may preinstalled HID to our products before shipping to their customers. in that case the product is not covered by our official warranty. please check the vendor's warranty policy to ensure you will be satisfied with your purchase.

Are the Halos and LEDs wired to the parking lamp? For whatever reason the Escapes sold in the U.S. don't have the DRL feature "turned on".

+Tnaks Getting to this 2 years later, but... Meh... Yes, the U.S. Ford Escape has DRL. At least, my 2009 XLT does. In fact, I cannot drive without lights on, as the DRL's come on when I put it in gear. Keep in mind that they are NOT on if you are in park, only the parking lamps are. Also, this is what I have noticed when I have the "switch" set to the "auto" position. I rather like the setup because I don't ever have to worry about my lights... Even in the rain. They are simply always on when I need them, and off when I don't.

Gheyath Mokdad what bulbs are you referring to? the build in LED lights are not replaceable. but if you are referring to the turn signal bulbs then yes you can, just have to make sure your bulb have enough clearance to fit through the hole.

Yeah the Escape and Mariner were essentially siblings but from different makes. Mariner to be more “upscale” than the Escape. The Mariner has different sheet metal compared to the Escape so it wouldn’t fit :(
