Just did a deal for one of these, so excited to try out some s90v!

I'm always happy to see the Manix 2 getting some love. It's a really amazing knife. My take on the Manix 2 LW is that it's simple, functional, and ready to work. I also disliked the pinned construction when I got mine but it's a really easy lock mechanism to clean and you can loosen the pivot to clean and oil it when you need to. Mine in S110V has been a great everyday work knife and has broken in really well. But if you want to customize you are better off with a G10 variant. Also, the previous owner of mine filed some shallow lines across the back end of the FRN to add texture and it doesn't feel at all slippery with that.

I have one from the satin run CS did previously and the Manix LW is probably the best size to weight ratio of any knife available. If you can get past the pocket carry bulk, it's a great edc and I'm really impressed with the S90V. It was my main carry knife for over a year. The caged ball bearing lock is a lot more robust than the axis also. Recently got a Bugout to customize with some Deathgrip scales and already broke both springs on it.

Nice, I've considered the blue version myself.

Got mine in the mail yesterday. Definitely going to grab a lynch northwest deep carry clip. Probably grab a 5x5 combat solutions pick pocket or wise men company fang as well.

Thanks for the great video, I was a big BenchMade nut and hated the Spyderco's because i thought they were ugly but for some strange reason i have flipped my opinion and now have quite the collection of Spyderco's and use them. I do not have the Manix, would love the Manix in M390 as seen on my favorite knife dealer site.

Always like orange FRN with a black blade my older triage has the same orange handles just in g10 instead of FRN black blade window. Breaker seatbelt cutter with the older n680 blade which is much cooler than there pry bar version or the regular drop point. I have a blacked out version of the manix2 in 154cm which I’m a fan of not to hard or soft and takes a sick edge

The Manix (or manix 2 max) and the Shayman are my 2 favorites. They just feel right to me. I'm digging the orange and black though. Great video as always 🍻

Have this version and love it. Only deep carry clip I’ve seen that works”ok” is off the para 3 lightweight but the clip doesn’t rest on the smooth Spyderco logo. It rests right above it so it does rub on your pocket pulling it in and out. If there is a deep carry wire clip that works perfectly on it I’m all ears....

I think I'm last to the manix party. Not tried one yet, but in s90v that would be a work horse. Hope you find the hardware for it that would be class. Atb paddy 👍☘️😃

Awesome videos and spydercos. I would keep the manix 2 bigger handle to hold maybe less slippery than the para 3

Both are sweet. Keep them both. Although I would totally take the St Nicks exclusive off you. lol

Don't understand not doing the hardware in black like the Native 5 I've got from them. I've heard it can be drilled out and replaced I'll be doing mine in all black as soon as I can track parts down. Still haven't got use to mine this is my first mantix. There was a small drop of Lynch clips one was the wire clip replacement but they where sold out before I got there lol. Let me know if you track the hardware down I'll drill them out

I love the Manix2, especially in the lightweight version. I do wish they wouldn't use that press fit hardware, so if you find a way to change those, I would be super interested. Kinda weird that they didn't go with the deep carry clip on this version, but that s90v blade makes up for a lot. That's going to be a workhorse!

I soured on Spyderco after my PM2's tip broke off after landing on the floor. Only to find out Spyderco does not offer a blade replacement like most other knife companies, Benchmade etc...Epic fail all the way around.
@jonathanwatson2684 жыл бұрын
It is a bummer but it makes sense when you think about it. Benchmade can offer blade replacements because they have a certain number of models and they don't have much variety in steels they use. Spyderco on the other hand is a company that is massively invested in variety with both designs and steels. It would be much much more expensive for Spyderco to offer blade replacements because they have so many models in so many steels. That much tooling and piles of exotic steels would be very financially and spacially prohibitive. Not to mention accounting for design tweaks with CQI versions. I think something could be done for popular/high volume models but I could see where the line could be hard to draw for them.

Do people in an office environment really get scared by seeing a knife in someone's pocket??? I have never worked in an office so yes this is a serious question.
@drameday4 жыл бұрын
I don’t get it either. Sounds like offices are full of pussies.
@mayanalien4 жыл бұрын
Yes. It also depends a lot on how you open them, but I've learned educating people on why you carry a knife helps them calm down. I even bought a knife for the ceo and cfo of our company, and now they are converted. And I can carry any knife I want now. Ha

I'd rather see you start covering any American made over Chicom brands. Plus the Manix is an excellent knife.
