The steel will retain the edge longer, it’s a better built knife, you don’t have to deal with the liner lock and you get the best ergonomics of any knife I have ever felt. They’re amazing knives and you’d have been better off to spend the $150.

Also, your bias shows through when you say the PM2 will be sharper out of the box. LMAO. There are variations in sharpness with both models out of the box. The knife was designed to be a budget/entry level knife so it has cheaper steel and made in China for lower labor cost. China can make the same high quality Para 2 with same steel, etc for less because of labor costs. Bought both these knives. At the end of the day, these both lose their edge at the same rate. It’s been demonstrated over and over again on KZbin. I don’t wanna destroy my $150 knife. So I’m hesitant to even you it. If you’re a knife enthusiast, Para is the way to go. It’s made in the USA, better Steel, better ergonomics. But if you’re a normal guy, Tenacious hands down. Blade is just as sharp, hold the edge the same, and it cost $50. And it’s ergonomics are excellent, but just a tad bit less that the other.

Just watched a video of the s30 vs the 8cr13mov In real cutting tests and retention. The results are pretty funny for anyone who likes to run around and say how superior the s30 is. Tenacious is the winner here, unless you like to throw away $100 bills

Made in USA means everything to me, do I wear everything made in America? No but with knives I can make easier decisions choosing the made in USA! American made knives provide their workers a great life and usually have WAY better built knives and better warranty!

I can't argue with any of that, but I don't really feel that way about Spyderco. I carried a Japan made Delica 4 for almost 10 years, still do on occasion. I have knives from all their factories, except Italy, and I feel the quality of craftsmanship is up to par, but the materials used usually aren't. I have two of the Tenacious models, one in the Chinesium, and one in CPM M4. The M4 version was almost 3 times the price, but you can definitely feel the difference. They feel like two different knives. For a sub $100 knife, I think the Tenacious is a great option, and at around 130 buck or so, you can get one with some decent steel.

You think that up until the point you have one in your hand, and understand metallurgy. The PM2 is offered in many different, better classed steels, but even here with S30V, it's light out. You're probably not a knife guy, but the PM2 will make you one.

Xrilliam7.62 yup. I bought a tenacious and decided to buy a pm3 bc the pm2 is too big for my small hands. Sold my tenacious instantly 😂

These are good knives no doubt about it, but with that said I'm afraid I can't buy either. Nope, I just can't justify the cost of either knife. The Ganzo G710 is a much better value and I know that it's made in China but so is the Tenacious as well as many other knives produced by various other manufactures that are based in the USA. I really wish that American manufactures could compete better with off shore manufactures, but IMO, we only have our great and wonderful politicians and over-greedy American corporations to thank for the situation we are currently in. They have been selling out the American people and American manufactures for years and I don't know how that will ever change but I believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we are progressing towards it fast. If you really want to see American manufactures do better, then my advice to you is to pay close attention to American economic policy and really consider who you vote for in all of the upcoming election cycles. You may also want to consider which American manufactures that you do support because politically, they are not all created equal, recent events in the news concerning Benchmade comes to mind. You may disagree with me and think "what the eff does this have to do with this video?" and my response would be that it has everything to do with this video, American economic policy is the driving force behind everything that is manufactured in the USA, and production cost is a big part of the equation.

A Spyderco made in China is the same quality as one made in USA (some knives from China are even better). If the PM2 was made in China, it would have been the same because it's the same Company. American knife makers are not any better than Chinese knife makers.

@@KnifeReview Explain why a knife, which is made by the SAME company, will be better when it's made in the USA than when it's made in China? Are you assuming that Chinese knife makers are incompetent?

There’s a reason why Spyderco makes all there shit knives in China. And there expensive nice ones in Golden CO.
