I just constantly backed up and hooked when I fought the yeti, and it worked.

At first I felt sorry for Bartholomew that he didn't get his ball back. But when I came back to the area he said he remembered the yeti didn't take his ball in the first place and he had only lent it to his friend.

I think this is actually the second instance where Spyro has an ice breath power-up. If I remember right, there was a similar power-up you could use in Cloud Temples in Ripto's Rage.

Despite their looks, as far as I know, the snowmen don't really deal damage. They just throw Spyro back like the fat ladies in Spyro 1. :P Fun fact: Bentley's Boxing Challenge is the only Spyro minigame in the PS1 trilogy that two players can play. If you plug in a second controller after you get both eggs, Player 2 will be able to play the Colossus Yeti.

Once the Yeti's health was lower than mine, I just kept backing away, going in circles so his attacks wouldn't reach me till the time was up. Dunno about now, but that was the only way for me to win back then haha.

Believe or not there was actually an ice breath in Ripto's Rage in Cloud Temples but I don't blame you for forgeting because Cloud Temples isn't a very memorible level.

If you manage to get the yeti in a corner you can just spam square and that's how I usually beat him in the second round

you have the game, so emulating shall not be a problem. coolrom.com can be used for the emulator and the iso file. you have to google though on how to get the emulator (I recommend ePSX) working. or you can just buy it again.

It freezes before the first cutscene, so should it still work? Also, do I have to use a keyboard and mouse to play?

Dubhghlas98 you can use a keyboard, I do recommend though using a pad. Just remember that this is an option you can consider.
