I have taken this round trip from Newark to Singapore via SIA, and without question one of the more enjoyable flight experiences I have ever had. Great plane and professional flight crew who overwhelm you. I see questions about flight duration but given the comfortable beds, great in flight entertainment, and great food it is very doable. In fact, the flight is so long with up to two sleep cycles you actually undo the jet lag issue. I was relatively refreshed at both ends of the trip. Great!

@telperos2 SQ21/SQ22 very rarely takes the route via europe, passing directly over Berlin for exemaple - and it goes nonstop either. The planned route on that flight was passing the south of Japan, heading to the north of Alaska and then towards Canada, directly to Toronto and Newark. Because of our delay routing was changed via the pole and getting into the New York area via the Hudson Bay and Ontario/Quebec to win time.

AWESOME! love this video! the preflight announcement by the pilot is really informative, even including the T/O rwy!

@bourneidenty No we were not. Technicians came onboard to solve the TCAS problems. We had some drinks, some nice talks and off we went again :-)

@japntinkle 2 big meals, one after departure over Malaysia and the Gulf of Thailand, another one after 8 hours (overflying China and Siberia) and a little snack over the Hudson Bay just before landing....You could get snacks the whole flight from the galley, too.

@rodrigoborgesflores yeah, after fixing the TCAS we were off again for Newark. The only thing changed was the departing runway. we were to depart 20C first, after the TCAs problems we were rocking off from RWY20R

@airplanecrazy1989 sin-ewr is eastbound, via Japan and the pacific and canada or alternatve (and quite rarely) via the polar route as on this flight. I heard rumours that SIN-EWR even went westbound sometimes, via europe and the atlantic but I cant validate that anymore.

your videos never cease to amaze me with their incredibly high quality...like I'm actually in the airplane itself. How do you find the time to travel like this? You must rack up a lot of mileage with the Star Alliance! You seem to be a fan of Swiss, Lufthansa, and Singapore Airlines.
@vsbfbmusic13 жыл бұрын
@antimatterXXXIII it only depends on the weather (wind conditions) which way the pilots take. EWR-SIN and SIN-EWR can both go eastbound or westbound, doesn't really matter (both ways are equally long). only the weather influences the pilot's decision

Well. Its good for the captain to be cautious about his airplane as he doesn't want any complications during the flight. Well done! :DD

@jetfreak4 well and not to forget THAI AIRWAYS :-) Thank you for your nice comment.

@airplanecrazy1989 AS far as I know, SQ21/SQ22 flights are routed north/south across the north pole rather than east/west. I don't think the flight is feasible nonstop by going east or west in the 345.

Hi DAIRX, how often have you flown with SQ22 yet? About 30 times? Do you use it for your job? I'd like it if you answer me. I hope i can fly with SQ22 in the future, too. Continue making great videos!
