In on-Premise, we have an SQL agent to perform all the DBA activities in multiple databases like rebuild index, schema changes, etc.
For Example, we have a Product and we have multiple databases for multiple customers now we need to change one table schema in all the databases, How can you do it On-premise?, How can you do it in Azure?
Elastic database jobs or Azure-hosted elastic database jobs can be used to schedule a T-SQL task such as index maintenance against an SQL database, An elastic database job can span multiple databases in the same subscription or in different subscriptions.
