@abefroeman55269 жыл бұрын
+Eoinster Not really, but certainly AAA title worthy. Given that it's an indy game, that in and of itself is impressive. BTW, Gary is the only A lister here, too. Fallout 3 had Liam Neeson and Malcolm McDowell, Oblivion had Patrick Stewart and Sean Bean, Skyrim had Max Von Sydow and Christopher Plummer, Oldman and Keifer Sutherland were also in CoD: World at War. The most that I could find was Fable 3 had Ben Kingsley, John Cleese, and Michael Fassbender.
@Eoinster9 жыл бұрын
William Santiago Mark Hamill, Mark Strong, Andy Serkis, Ben Mendehlson, Gillian Anderson and Liam Cunningham have all become very recognisable and well known actors recently, and while yes, they're not all A-listers, they're all pretty high level actors, and I can't think of another release with this many of them.
@abefroeman55269 жыл бұрын
+Eoinster Impressive, but not A listers. As for as many, Fable 3 also had Stephen Fry, Nicholas Hoult, Bernard Hill, Simon Pegg, Zoe Wanamaker, and Edward Hardwicke. If they just had Patrick Stewart and Sean Bean, they would have employed every actor in Britain.

+John Dycoco Anti Aging probably would only slow down visual wear and tear on the body and muscular and bone problems as well. However its is very likely we will just hit another limit with mental capping out (overload of information or brain maxing it self out but we have no one living long enough to see if that is really problem or not.). We already hit our first limit because nutrition no longer its issue in the first world so we are seeing first hand the other limits max age of humans mostly due failure to repair as the body tissue has harder and harder time divided cells because of DNA wear out. But probably there is another limit after we deal with that limit so who knows.

@KuariThunderclaw9 жыл бұрын
+Martin Conway While several of them are considered A-List actors, they're ones that really don't go overkill on charging for their voice acting. They don't cost millions like some assume just because they're around a lot. So yeah, not that hard for them to afford it or a huge drain. Its not a Hollywood production where one actor gets like 10 million or whatever. Hell, most actors can't get away with charging that much even or just flat out don't. Voice acting much less so.
@martinconway81749 жыл бұрын
Still!
@syphen759 жыл бұрын
+Martin Conway 91+ million dollars, No money spent on advertising. Plus I would imagine they don't charge nearly as much for voice over acting as they would for full fledged movies. The key to being able to afford it is the fact that they don't have to spend anything on advertising or community content from the actual pledges for the game. Every penny of that 91+ million can go to game development.

Exactly, and no blinking??! What the hell are they thinking!
@Catonzo8 жыл бұрын
He actually blinks several times in the video. Other times it might be "hidden" because of the camera position being more "scenic" rather than in his face. Besides, blinking excessively is a sign of being nervous, relaxed. He's supposed to be stern, firm and steadfast. Fully motivated and more or less angry. Thus he blinks less.
@BitCrusader8 жыл бұрын
There is blinking, and brow animation. Just look closer.

This is facial mocap. There's definitely blinking, and at natural times.

I agree, seems to me that people like this are just here to complain, no matter what. It's so detailed you can even see him swallowing several times if you look closely. The environment does look somewhat bland though (except for the murals of course), but that wasn't the point of this video anyway. The soundtrack on the other hand completely blew me away! I absolutely love it!

I'm a long time supporter of this game and I was blown away by the details in the video. They eyes move in an almost realistic way, and the hair and speech detail was phenomenal for something rendered with the in-game engine. I was even impressed with the way his face wrinkled along with his facial expressions. If this is the level of detail we can expect from the in-game world, I'm over the moon! What a wonderful job you've done! You should be proud!

the speech it self was ok, but his mannerism, disconnect between the way he looks and the old man voice really killed the moment. I assume he is suppose to be a leader like character that inspires other... but this speech did do that for me.

7un Away i think is the smooth skin that makes him look much younger. Anyway, besides the disconnect and the uncanny valley... this looks incredible, especially since it's done in real time, in engine... it is not a SG cinematic.

Funny how people try to find negativity in everything. This is by far the most incredible cgi ive ever seen for a video game. AND ITS IN THE VIDEO GAME. We complain about the the Call of Duty's having cgi trailers that are nothing to reality. And yet when reality is put into the trailer - you have ppl that cry. Look at the likes. Those of us that are happy are silent. Perhaps we shouldnt be any longer.

Wow it's so awesome that in recent years more and more well known actors whether they are A or B list are now doing video game voice and motion acting, which kind of makes sense given how video games for a long while now are like long interactive movies and motion capture kind of acting being something fairly new that up until 5-10 years ago didn't exist I'd imagine actors would want to be apart of something so groundbreaking
@fotakatos7 жыл бұрын
It so happens that Gary Oldman has been doing video games since forever. I first heard him in the Spearhead expansion to Medal of Honor: Allied Assault all the way back in 2002, he also appeared in several Call of Duty games. And particularly Chris Roberts has been working with big names since the 90's. But yeah, there's no doubt that it's becoming more and more common to cast A or B list actors in games if one can afford it.

Its not edited or something just great show of acting. You can see a short cut in the behind the scenes video from squadron 42. I still think it was sarcasm...
@Birdtross9 жыл бұрын
+InsaneTiger07 I'm not talking about Gary Oldman's voice (great guy, love his work), rather the music that's playing in the background. And for the record, I wasn't sarcastic. I'd genuinely like to know because the music was AWESOME.
