If the ball is in the right spot in relation to your body you get power and shot options which also allows you to control the rallies.
There are several ways to get the right spacing firstly with your movement from the T then your last stride to the ball and then you adjust your positioning with upper body movement just before striking, if this is minimal you will access the power required.
As you become more advanced you can and sometimes choose to transition weight as you hit but if you get this wrong it can leave you off balance when you hit.
