Dwarves always strike me as traditional-because-it's-proven, so I think Space Dwarves would be very practical. So maybe white and blue is just the colors of the super shiny sci-fi urban environments he fights in.

This video goes straight into the Book of Space Grudges. First you sucker me into buying the new Deadzone box and an Enforcer Megapack, which is grudgeworthy by itself. But after painstakingly deliberating for the better part of a week which colour scheme I should pick, I'm now tempted to drop my Space Wolves-ripoff and go almost full Storm Troopers on my Enforcer army. :-(
@HeadHunterSix3 жыл бұрын
Me too! I have a squad I'm painting up in a vibrant blue but dang, this looks nice! I do, however, have a Warpath army's worth of the little guys, so another half-dozen like this wouldn't be a hardship to knock out.

Nice! The white in the final turntable seems way brighter than the thumbnail lead me to think!
@SonicSledgehammerStudio3 жыл бұрын
The turntable shot is a little lighter than in reality - I try to tweak the video afterwards to make sure it's accurate, but with a satin or gloss varnish involved it's a little hard! The closest look to finished is just before the base goes on, near the end.

"DID I HEAR A ROCK AND STONE?!" I am happy you saw the similarities with it. Honestly for me the Forge Fathers range does Dwarves in space well, it modernizes them-or futurizes them, if that even is a word. I really like this color scheme and can see it within the game easily. The only thing I really do not like is the base. I feel a grey base would had been better for the overall scheme, but other than that-great work.

Hi Sonic. Like the paint job on this one. I've decided to use the guide to paint my Tau pathfinder squad. This tutorial is very useful indeed. I have to agree with you on the paint brands comment. I use citadel and vallejo and believe that people will find their own personal favourites to go to. I even have a couple of sets of 90s citadel paints that I still use and citadel inks too, all in the original boxes!!! I had these for the original Heroquest game back in the day! It'll be interesting if you do the new version of Heroquest boardgame miniatures?! Look forward to seeing your next video. Take care as always. Keep having fun. Regards Ian

Look absolutely brilliant! Have to say, truly hated putting Forge Fathers together, pieces that struggle to go together, hard plastic that is a pain to cut, fierce mould lines and no instructions
@corvusgamesterrain3 жыл бұрын
I assembled those Forge Fathers a long while ago, and they were the worst minis to put together. I felt like chucking the entire set in the bin. They look cool when finished though, but it's definitely an exercise in patience.
@SonicSledgehammerStudio3 жыл бұрын
Yeah... my first one I'd assembled more than a year ago. It was not a fun experience! Much as I like the finished result, it's definitely something to power through. When folks outright refuse to look at the newer Mantic kits, I can kinda understand where they're coming from in this case.

I don't think it's being unfair to say that they were a bit of a trial! I'm pleased to have gotten them together - they look cool once they're done - but it does require going in knowing that you're going to spend a bit of time inventing new curses.

These were my first experience with Mantic's stuff and it didn't leave a great impression initially, true. Their recent kits are leagues improved, but it took some convincing before I'd try them again, admittedly!

Some of their kits that they made ten years ago are a pain in the arse to put together. Every new plastic kit they've brought out since I've been aware of them has been pretty damn good
