Everything is turning out amazing!! 🤩 Leaving the wood is the best thing... it's natural fire prevention and insect repellent. 👌🏻 Teddy... you can fall on the ground all you want, but you need to stop the antics when you're in the air! You legit give me anxiety! Can't have anything bad happen to my friends!! 🫣 Screwing is my favorite thing to do! Especially when it goes quickly! There's just something about it that is SO satisfying! 😁😆 Oh CJ... 🤭 I'll give you props on that fall. I think Dad might've even been a little envious on the execution 😉😂

Awe thanks, Hillary! Yes, that's what we were finding out in our research as well! Would definitely want to seal it if it was being used indoors or coming in to contact with people so that soot doesn't get everywhere, but for this, leaving it as is was perfect. THANK YOU! When he's up on a ladder or teetering on a 4" wide beam 6' in the air... no funny business! He's going to end up giving me a heart attack... and we certainly don't want to be causing anxiety for our viewers! lol 🔩🪛 🤣 It was satisfying, all right! Omg when I saw the footage of CJ falling I was cracking up so hard! Like father like son! He's done it before IN FRONT OF STRANGERS out in public! LOL! The people didn't know whether to laugh or be worried! Oh my gosh, I was laughing so hard but of course I freaked out at first b/c I didn't know he was doing it on purpose! oooh good times.

I thought Honda generators were one pull, LOL. I didn't think you needed to treat the wood after burning. It is going to look so good as it ages. And Ted sticks the landing! Always love seeing the pups. Glad y'all had some down time to enjoy being with friends. So glad your AirBNB is successful and reaping the rewards of all that hard work. When serving with an infantry unit in Alaska, we had to function in subzero arctic terrain. Our base camps were primitive but always had warming tents fueled by diesel, mogas, or wood. You may consider setting up a small tent with a wood stove that can keep propane and yourselves warm. Rotate your tanks and yourselves indoors periodically, we rotated shifts on an hourly basis warming for 15 minutes. Outside temps ranged from -25F to 20F even in sunlight. Cloudy days were warmer as the cloud cover would trap the warmer air.

Love the contruction! For screwing larger screws (50mm+) it is best to always predrill the hole in the wood to be fixed. This is because the screwing puts a lot of tention on the metal and if not predrilled a lot in the worng place, the wood you like to fix instead of the joint. So for a stronger fix-joint between the 2 woods you predrill, and to release the tention on the screw because they can break (the head is most vulnerable), especially stainless steel!

Normally we would have a ton of snow still covering, but that spot of the garden is completely clear! I'm not ready to take the pine boughs off of it until I know we're free of snow for good. We had a big snow storm last April so anything is possible at this point! We pull then when the tops have turned brown/yellow halfway down. We also sprinkle blood meal on them once a month. Don't forget to cut your scapes! They're delicious and it'll help your cloves grow bigger! We don't harvest ours until around august/September! Yes! We've been *just* busy enough to not be overwhelmed with everything else we have going on! April is big time off season here so we'll see what that brings! We just got our first week long booking! I'm nervous and excited about it! Glad your bnb is still booming! Thats so wonderful! have a great week! ♡

From the subtitles when needed to clarify things, to beautiful scenery, to bloopers and edits, to caring for your Airbnb and family, to responding to the Pine's family comments. May God multiply the work and bring an even more abundant harvest both on earth and in heaven. I really appreciate all that you do to include us, KZbin fam, in this journey. Also, mid way through as I was hit was such appreciation, Ted fell again and I nearly lost it hahahah.... I wonder if it would be a good idea to raise a pillar from the ground so as not to put too much stress on the living pine trees. Although I think you have done enough calculations, If you will add much more heavy things on top of these in the future, it looks like it won't have enough support. Anyway these are valuable videos where we can see much younger Sandra Bullock who is doing various tasks every time😊

Hi Jenna and Ted 🌲it's good to drop in and see what you're doin' today. I really like the openening shots, especially Clifford's close up. I think the name Squatters Heights is perfect! You guys made good progress on finishing up the burning and installing the floor joist beams in place, despite the cold temps. I noticed the green knit top which is a good color for you, and for the record, you look great with or without the smudges 😉. You had some very appealing random shots woven into the video as it approached the end, I especially like the scene with Finley playing with the dogs. That location on your property is quite beautiful. You've never shared your thoughts on how you saw the use under the tent. Seeing the floor joist down and your activity with the fire, hanging lantern etc underneath it got me to wondering. It would be a perfect location for activty; are you thinking of building it out somewhat or simply leaving it up to guests to improvise? Good call by Ted for using the corded 1/2" drill to sink those long lads into the joists. That drill is heavy duty, high torque, and made for that type of work and there's not sense damaging a battery powered impact driver. Ted was at the top of his game, the colder weather seemed to bring out him clowing around which is always entertaining. CJ also jumped right right in and made me laugh out loud! You are all characters in your own right and I believe that is one of the things that make my enjoy you all and The LiFe in Pines so very much. You are a highlight my week. One of your loyal cones ... Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
@TheLiFeInPines9 ай бұрын
Hi Larry! Thanks so much! It was a collective idea between Ted, Finley and myself to do a little recap of our project so far! Video credit for Cliffords cameo goes to Finley! Yes we thought the play on words of "Squatter's Rights" was perfect! That green sweater was my thrift store find - 4$ 100% wool sweater! I had been looking or one to wear specifically outside working! didnt want to spend a lot on a wool sweater I knew I'd be working in, so I was so happy to find this sweater! We're not 100% sure yet on what we're doing with the underneath. It has about 5' of clearance on the one end and 8' of clearance on the yoke side. Cant really have a fire pit under there, but was definitely thinking about dry storage, stringing up some hammocks, maybe a little outdoor shower/tub situation? Time (and money) will tell! We totally agree on his corded drill for the lags. It was no big deal using it (other than the struggle I had starting the generator 😆) When the weather is this cold... I think it really does draw out the silly in people! When I saw that footage of CJ I also cracked up! Oh my goodness it's such a joy to watch your children grow up and see them develop their unique personalities right before your eyes. Parenthood is so special. Thanks for dropping in and we hope you have a great week! See ya soon! -Jenna

Great video the cheapest way was a good decision on the beam so only suggested for using a sealer was for more protection but l am sure with what you have done will be enough protection and being in the sun with no contact with the ground it will be ok. Jenna why are you the only one with war paint on your face and Ted has none. The ending with your son falling looks like he is following Ted’s antics. Stay safe with the cold glad you took a break and warmed up. Fitted sheets l can’t fold them at all no wonder us men are all thumbs and turn to you and say here you do it. See you next week!

We went back-and-forth on the whole sealing thing! It was either nothing, linseed oil, or polyurethane. Time will tell if the burn method alone works! We all got pretty dirty!😂 CJ has definitely picked up on Ted’s tendencies 🫣😂 Fitted sheets 🙅🏽♂️ We hope you have a wonderful week! ❤️🌲😊

Jenna, you’d think by now you would be used to Ted’s antics. Must have been a hoot raising kids, who was the disciplinarian. Great video

One would think after 15 years of marriage I would be used to it by now... I think he's just gotten better at knowing exactly how to freak me out. Or maybe I'm just becoming more of a wimp! 😆 LOL Ted knows how to turn it off so we can keep a united front when it comes to discipline! Thank goodness! 😅

We blame it on El Niño making us soft! We usually can handle the cold….🥶 You can keep your -60° though 😆 We hope you have a great week Wade! 🌲

Is there a danger of the treehouse becoming lopsided, if the supporting trees do not grow at the same rate? Just curious.
@TheLiFeInPines9 ай бұрын
Great question! The trees actually grow out at this level! So the treehouse will stay exactly where it is. Fun fact, the TABs (tree attachment bolts) will actually get engulfed into the tree over time! We hope you have a great week! 🌲 ❤️ 😀

I think you'd be better off if you built a tree house, you could enjoy it all seasons especially during the winter with a wood stove.
@TheLiFeInPines9 ай бұрын
This is our practice (with milling beams, installing TABS, etc) for when we build our treehouse!! We definitely plan on staying here in the winter as well!! The tent will have a wood stove in it.

Jenna you are right fitted sheets need to be folded properly, it’s not that hard Ted. Is this whole falling thing hereditary or what, lol.

If you are “burning and screwing” I guess Teddy thinks you’re HOT lol. Yall make me laugh in a time it has been hard. My wife remains in the hospital after her fourth emergency surgery since 12/9/23. Yall give me 20 mins to reboot. Blessings to your family. From Richmond, Va.

😂 😝 🔥 It brings a smile to our faces to know we can bring some joy (if only for a couple minutes) to someone who is going through hard times. Many, many prayers for you and your wife during this difficult time. 🙏🏼 Please keep us posted on her recovery! ❤️🩹 God bless! 🌲😊❤️
