Hi sir.. baby with L5 Spina bifida doing army crawl now 17 months old . She stands when I put her for standing only by watching cartoon .. how to make her to do crawling ..she is very lazy to physio

If the motor level of your baby is confirmed to be L5, she will walk alone, or in the worst case, with light-weight ankle-foot orthosis without any personal assistance. Don't obligate her to crawl or creep; as many children can proceed to walking without creeping or crawling. Emphasize lower limb muscular strength, for example, pulling from sitting to standing. Check for any loss of sensation in both feet.

@@Dr.Ahmed_Elnahhas thanku sir for the reply.. she doesn't have any sensation.. but all movements in feet ..little sensation sometimes in left leg .. doc told us in anomaly scanning it's L5 .. but after born her Nuero told . It's at the end .. below L5.. in mri it's shows sacral mylomeningocele. She is very lazy to do stand.. she didn't touch her feet in floor . She pulling her legs up to avoid standing . If she didn't have sense then how did she know to pull up her legs when I put her for standing.but if I put phone on chair . She intrested to watch it so she stands from my lap to chair . Sometimes she normally in standing position when I put her directly if cartoon playing

@@fathimarahim3867 I recommend using standing frame (stander) for at least 1 hour/day, 5 days/week, to in increase weight-bearing tolerance.
