I think he should have worn wide toe box shoes accompanied with toe exercises to get that big toe out and in front of the knee.

The pause is a trick as that is actually the easiest spot to pause at besides the top. Great ROM though.

When i get that low with heavy weight idk if im the only one but it feels so good being in that much depth with heavy weight its like your getting a good strecth within your hips and spine. Lifting heavy really got my squat depth so low

A few years ago I did 1 squat 140 kg with three 20 sec pauses. First at 90° on the way down. Second atg. Third 90° on the way up. That was kind of brutal too.
