Technically speaking the wrong way IS the right way, these push-ups are intentionally inefficient so that you can get all the muscles working at maximum exertion, the bad form ones are lazy because, as is human nature, we are driven to burn as little energy as possible. Keep doing the correct ones though.

@master.92022 жыл бұрын
@@ghostwidmost Well if you really want to improve, then do this, and trust me even if it sounds dumb. You should start with doing push-ups from a wall. You are still pushing your body, only less force is necessary. When you feel confident, move on to something more difficult. Use a chair or a table or anything that lets you do push-ups in a certain angle between floor and wall. Then after a few days of this, you should be able to complete your normal push-up. I couldn't do a single push-up too a few months ago, but I did what I said to do above, and after two weeks I managed to do 10 push-ups. It's all about consistency. You can do it king 👑

@@master.9202 I started working out 2 weeks ago, im going to add what you said to my rountine, I'm going to do push-ups off of my bed rest because it is slightly higher than the ground but not too high to where it's minimal effort. Very good instruction, however, I was waiting for you to talk about the importance of breath control when doing a pushup. Inhale going down, perform the hand release and breathe in on the lift back up. Although there are different variations for a pushup, the best way and right way is to keep the back flat while keeping ht hips level with the shoulders, keeping the knees bent as well, and when you move to do a pushup, move slightly forward and down in an arcing motion and then return to the original position. always press from the palm and the tips of the fingers and imagine you are trying to press through the floor when performing the pushups. make sure to keep the knees slightly bent and also the hips/glute area higher. you will get a great pump out of this.

Perfect tutorial... hand release helps alot... I was making shoulder rollout mistake...
@FLCanalHopperАй бұрын
What a difference the hand release makes. I had been doing pushups entirely wrong and not squeezing my back, leading to tricep and shoulder pain. Was easily able to crank out 40 in a row and feel it in my chest more than anywhere else.

I do about fifty perfect incline pushups when I can. It's easier for me due to having a messed up back, spine, & herniated disc from past car accidents. I do them in sets. The final 3-4 are hardest, but I definitely feel my entire upper body totally sore. And staying hydrated is very helpful.

This was probably the best explanation of a push up that I have found online and I have been looking a lot. Great job, Adam!

Thank U I am disabled with a plate in my shoulder collarbone and so it's harder for me to do exercises I used to like doing alot of burpees but being disabled it's harder for me to get kind of exercise thank you for showing me a different way to get the same affect I think it should be easier to try to do with less tension on my collarbone with that kind of push up now for me thanks

Great tips man. I've been doing the pushups correct, but I sometimes roll my shoulders to stop working my chest as well

Why do my elbows click when I do push ups? I'm 14 years old and I feel no pain but with every push up there is a click and this goes for my knees too - my knees click when doing squats. Why is this and how can I fix it?

Is it just like when popping your fingers or "cracking your knuckles"? I'm the same way. A lot of my joints pop all the time throughout the day. I think some people's joints just pop frequently. As long as there isn't any pain then it isn't a big deal.
