Good man, Tyler !! I've used T-bar posts, angle iron, etc. for reinforcement of my concrete driveway !! So, you're not alone !! Using some of those old "concrete chunks" are ideal to fill part of the base of your new slab !! Sort of a filler !!

Electric jackhammers are always underpowered in my experience, but for that small job getting a pneumatic one is probably overkill. I always put form stakes below the top of the form so when screeding the concrete the stakes are not in the way.

Running two batteries and solar charging at about 250 watts during use I think it only dropped the charge about 20%. No issues whatsoever. Hard to say exactly how many hours I ran the hammer. On and off pretty much all day

Man, that eco flow is impressive. They've come a long way with renewables and batteries. But I guess that's the way all innovations go.... start out, get a bunch of flak from the "glass is half empty" folks, continue to improve, make mistakes, flak, improve, make progress, a little less flak, improve... etc... and, when you're done, "everyone" knew it was a good idea at the start. lol....

My logic ' Why get pea gravel when we have broken concrete ' I'm pretty sure there are some gravel yards selling broken / crushed concrete and asphalt. That stuff is gold around here.

I've never needed to cost it out specifically, but I know that when my own concrete needs moved past one or two bags, premix is really nice. There's a far west in Lincoln that will provide a yard in a small tailer. Is that something you'd consider?
@mihandsplitters7058 ай бұрын
I was wondering why you hauled the old concrete away that’s exactly what I would use for the bottom. I’m a little bit of a tight wad though myself. Looks good so far.
@Gods-Elect8 ай бұрын
couldn't he have went right over the old concrete just wondering?
@mihandsplitters7058 ай бұрын
Probably not because the top layer would be too thin and start cracking and breaking when the cattle walked over it.

Hey Tyler. I was just wondering where the load bars go would it be worth it to make some "piers" by laying a 2x4 sideways ontop of the concrete pad forms to make spots for where the load bars will be on concrete that is 1.5 inches higher then the rest of the pad so it's easier to clean under the shute?
