Squeeze is a great band! Highly underrated at least in the states. Some other songs to check out are Up the Junction, Pulliing Mussels From the Shell, Vanity Fair, Another Nail In My Heart. Their albums East End Story and Argybargy are all killer no filler

so much nostalgia do I feel hearing this song. my junior year of high school. I am now 56. this song still hits as hard as it did when I first heard it back in '82. it has a bluesy, happy/sad-his vocals are great. the piano. the organ. the background vocals. what the song is saying--thing going on that just works like gangbusters! I think it is still my all-time favorite all purpose rock and roll song. crazy, maybe. but it has never lost its magic for me. a GREAT song. thanks for posting. I have liked and subscribed.

Silent Running wasn't a band. I think you meant to type Squeeze. He was also a touring member of Roxy Music, Nick Lowe's Cowboy Outfit, and Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band.
