There are only so many hours in the day. Your family and friend will not judge. They want to spend time with you. I love those little pots. They are so cheery and bright.

Love your pup. I lost my dear sweet Kelsey last week. My lab loved to be in the garden with me. She was calm like yours and just happy to watch. A joy.

I loved seeing all your new decor and plants that came back along with the new ones. My WS is rocking especially the flowers and perennials. Some of my annuals did not germinate but I set up a makeshift cold frame and redid those and 100% germinated= same seeds. Just rolling with it! Growing and planting is glorious, isn’t it? Hope to see your city plots soon.

Great job in pivoting to using a cold frame! Yes I'll have an update for the community garden plots soon!

Very enjoyable garden video. I think I will try winter sewing tomatoes next year. Those seem to have turned out really nice.
@EsthersGardeningAdventures8 ай бұрын
Thank you. Yes the tomatoes have done pretty well this year! You should definitely give them a try.

We tried winter sowing tomatoes in March and are really doing good. Before, we started them inside and in a breezeway. This works better because we won't have to harden them off.

@brg2743 that's great to hear!

😂if I could only plant as fast as you did in the video 😂 Does anyone need lemon balm? 😂. It jumped into the garden. Growing Orangelo Thyme and wonder if it’s winter hardy in Z5? My roosters Love Sweet Williams and had to fence them or they wouldn’t have chance.
@EsthersGardeningAdventures8 ай бұрын
Haha. Yeah everything looks faster when it's edited down. I don't know how hardy the Thyme is. That's funny about the roosters loving the sweet William

Another interesting and fun video! Are you a teacher, by any chance? You explain and demonstrate things so well.

Thank you. I am not a teacher but I was once a journalist and also was a tour guide so I guess explaining things has been a part of both of those jobs

Can I directly plant my tomatoes in the garden out of the jugs.
@EsthersGardeningAdventures8 ай бұрын
Yes. But see the video I put out 2 weeks ago about when to transplant seedlings. It includes tips for prepping containers for transplanting
@aeronadams98558 ай бұрын
After you transplant the tomatos into the small pots, how long can they stay there before needing to go into the garden? Thanks!
@EsthersGardeningAdventures8 ай бұрын
Several weeks potentially especially for the ones in larger containers. They will need more frequent watering and may need some double diluted liquid organic fertilizer if they use up the nutrients and start turning yellow.

So Esther. I tried winter sowing my flowers this year. The ones that germinated did great, however when I went to transplant them most faded and died. Any advice?
@EsthersGardeningAdventures8 ай бұрын
I'm sorry you hear that. We're they big enough and did you give them a day or two with the jugs open before you transplanted them? They also need a lot of water in the hole and for the first week after transplanting.
@ziacobbs7058 ай бұрын
@@EsthersGardeningAdventures I did. They looked fabulous. I'm so disappointed. Very few have survived.

I have a plant sale memorial weekend. I lost a month because I was sick. My peppers and tomatoes are really small. Is there something I can give them for a boost.
@EsthersGardeningAdventures8 ай бұрын
Hmm. Make sure they're in full sun would help. They should catch up ok size pretty fast over the next few weeks. What zone are you in?
@evelynrogers71458 ай бұрын
@@EsthersGardeningAdventures I’m in zone 5 IN. I turned my little chicken coop into a green house . I have a few in there. And the rest are in the house under grow lights, actually Led lights

That may speed things up if your outdoor temps aren't particularly warm. But be careful about them drying out without the rain to water them
