He has always been a top star since he appeared in the legendary drama Sandglass in Korea 30 years ago. Even if it is not a squid game, there are many famous dramas and movies in his filmography. Just because the US doesn't know doesn't mean it's anonymous.

"what are you going to miss most about being anonymous?" - The reporter who said this would never miss about being stupid because she might forever be stupid. As a Korean, sure I remember the days when Lee Jung-Jae was totally anonymous. Yeah, it was before 1993. He's always been huge in Korea and various regions of Asia. I don't think he could take a walk in the streets of Korea casually for the last thirty years. Ho-yeon was also having a good career in modeling for nearly a decade. The world doesn't orbit the white people's America.

Lee Jung Jae is one of the most recognized actor in Asia having come to A list status before internet days. Jung Ho Yeon has over 23M followers on Instagram, serves as ambassador for house of LV.. If Meryl Streep won Golden Rooster Award (China equivalent to Oscars), the reporter wouldn't ask Meryl what it feels to be no longer anonymous. Come on, this is just bad journalism.
