I have had one since 2011. I still love it and use it regularly live and for recording along side my Fender Strat without thought. It sounds amazing, keeps tune, and is a breeze to hold and play. A true bargain for anyone with a Squier budget who wants a fender look, feel, and sound.

I had one... changed pickups ( Fender Vintage ) and bridge ( Gotho GTC201 bridge ) and it played wounderful... loved the neck .. smooth and felt and sound like a rocker guitar :) I regret to this day that sold it...

Tried one of these exact models in that exact colour too when buying my new strat about 2 weeks ago. I loved it, if I was going for a Tele, defo would get it. Sound, tone, feel, everything’s pure class. If you want a Tele, perfect one here

I own this guitar and love it. Mine is a 1 piece body unless there are seams completely hidden by the black, which is amazing. This guitar never feels cheap. It’s a lovely thing.

It’s highly unlikely you have a one piece Squier. These are mass produced items, they aren’t going to stray from their build process. Do you have an older made in China model? If anything, your guitar has a veneer on the top and bottom, not uncommon.

I like those double bound tele's, I got a butterscotch and I like it. I had that white wash color before and even though it felt pretty good this one that I just got feels a lot better. Even with all the stock electronics and pick ups it sounds pretty good through my Marshall's 👍

I got one of these. Everything great on it. Except the skinny neck that I replaced with an Allparts tele neck that had some girth to it. I also have 2 CV strats 60s candy red and a white 50s with the anodised scratchplate. These CV guitars are top.

The classic vibe series is soon good I wish they would chuck a few offsets in the series too. Yeah the neck is a little on the skinny side but not too bad, them strats are awesome. I adjusted the audio in the video but in the room there is a noticeable difference maybe the magnet in the bridge pickup not sure.

If you remove the pickguard it's fairly easy to determine if it's a veneer top or not.

The alnico 3 pickups in the CV 50s strat are very twangy sounding. Clear bright sounding perfect 50s sound.

Then it wouldnt be a classic vibe as no early 60s teles had maple boards. Although I bet there are a coupe of special ordered guitrs with maple boards out there.

Hey Rob,need you help lol. I'm completely stuck between this tele and a Jagstang. My friends got a Jagstang and I really loved the feel of the neck, but I also tried a tele in a guitar store and thought it was really fun to play. The tele I tried was a Mexican fender with a maple neck though so it may be different to this one. If I do get the tele I'm gonna stick a Seymour Duncan hot rails in the bridge. If I get a Jagstang I'm gonna try get one pre modded with a Duncan JB. Which one should I get? Scale length isn an issue for me, I'm comfortable with either scale.

I'd go with the Jag-Stang first as you're a Nirvana fan has to be done, maybe do the Tele later down the line. Sounds like some solid mods there

Which of the Squier CV Telecasters have you liked the most so far? This one is the prettiest. Not sure it's sound is as good as in a couple of other tests. But that could just be due to external factors such as room acoustics or mic placement.

Nice demo and use of the looper to readily demonstrate the rhythm and lead elements. I am tempted by this model, very good looks (and sound). I'd be interested to know what it weighs (compared to my CV Thinline @ 6lb 10oz). Apparently your solid body version might be 8.0lb to 8.5lb?

Really beautiful guitar man. How does it compare to the Mexican models of Fender to you? You should actually hang onto this guitar and get a Mexican or Chinese Fender and do a shoot out against them and see how they compare side by side. Also I’m curious, what guitar has the nicest neck that you’ve played? I’m sure that’s hard to think about considering how many guitars you’ve had.

She is a beaut. Pretty much up there with a Mexican Fender although I prefer the ceramic bridge pickup from the standard Mexican Tele, the neck pickup on the CV is killer. I'll see what shows up in the meantime. Easy J Mascis/ deluxe with the satin finish and jumbo frets.

Its 7am, this is why I'm not really bothered about high end guitars most of it is in the mind, I cannot emphasise enough how good the J Mascis Deluxe is killer guitar. I like vintage Fenders but don't like the 7.25 radius and I just love jumbo frets and a satin finish over gloss

@@theguitarmanifesto it's because it has a rosewood fingerboard. The truss rod is put in before they fit it so there's no need for the skunk stripe like they have on maple necks. On those the rod is fitted from the back and the slot filled with walnut.

Hi Rob! So i'm looking to buy one of the squire teles. My choices are the Vintage Modified and the Classic Vibe. A better choice when talking about money is the Affinity Series Tele. Which one is your fav? Could you do a one on one comparison between the both? Along with that, what's your preference? I'm most likely gonna be buying the Fender Mustang 1 V2 which is an incredible amp for the money. Keeping in mind that i'm a beginner, safe to say its a good choice.

They are both surprising good, and I was sheepishly skeptical of the Chinese ones but they are great and the gretsch jet club is $299new and from the same factory as the Chinese classic vibes.
