I grew up in Minnesota and always liked this time of year. Woods, creeks look fantastic, thanks for sharing. PS- I live in Australia now so I’m in the middle of summer! Good luck to you, your wife on the new baby.

Thank you! Do you still have family here and do you still come visit? How did you end up in Australia? Always wanted to visit Australia. One day in the future!

@@MNMadeAdventures my mom and dad still live in Minnesota, I grew up in Prior Lake and hunted and trapped around Red Wood Falls where my uncles, grand lived. Deer hunted in the Minnesota River Valley in North Redwood. Got a beautiful 10 point buck back in 1996! Last time I deer hunted with my uncles. I was an exchange student in 1987 (showing my age) and met my wife in here in Australia. I haven’t been home to Minnesota since 2016 but look forward to getting home when covid allows.

@@nateschmidt4396 That's so cool! It's always so interesting to hear people's stories. Australia has a lot of wildlife also. You might already do it but could probably hunt there!

Hello to a very cold looking Minnesota 🥶 I’ve got an old work mate from the UK that’s now living out there, so I get regular weather updates . Your method of 🐿 hunting is so different to ours here, we use bait stations, then sit in a blind waiting to ambush. I love your video content, well done Sir, David👍👍🏴
@MNMadeAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! That’s funny because I’ve watched some videos from the UK also and I thought the same! Where I am, they do not allow baiting so that is why we hunt the way we do.

@@MNMadeAdventures don’t call it baiting, call it feeding starving animals 😜

So is late deer season on now? You probably mentioned it but I missed it? Scouting for this year or next year? Anyway cool video and congratulations on family life.
@MNMadeAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! We are right now in the late season here in MN. Our traditional Deer seasons for firearms are over, except for some special hunts coming up. We still have until Dec 31 to hunt with a Bow but that’s it! This is my first year hunting this area so scouting the area for next year.

Hardcore hunting squirrels in the snow. Never tried it but Oregon's squirrel season is closed before the snow falls.

I don’t know anywhere to go squirrel hunting in Minnesota

There are lots of public land here in Mn. You can find them on the MN DNR website and recreation compass. Squirrels can be found in most parts of the state but I think they are more plentiful from central to the lower half of the state.
