I love squirrels but the cute part about it is they really do love their nuts , And the one time you fit the peanut butter about a month ago hit me on thelp me I'm a floor Cracking up laughing , It's so aggressive about their peanut butter , And then at the end that particular squirrel ate too much peanut butter and gagged 😂 I'm glad he's not hurt but be sure was funny .

So true! And add chipmunks in there too. So little and so adorable. My friend and her family always went camping, and they noticed no matter how early they woke up at one campground, her dad would be sitting outside drinking coffee. So finally they asked him what he was doing. He got up to watch the squirrels and chipmunks take turns going down the playground slide!

Huey is funny! He needs a little backpack to carry several nuts away with him. 😂 It seems like walnuts, both in and out of the shell are the favorite. My Dr has instructed me to eat more of them. Apparently they are higher in omega-3 fatty acids than any other nut.

You aren’t a kidding starlings are vacuum cleaners cause they do the same over by me and my porch. I always tell the squirrels…hey turn around and watch for those birds cause they’re gonna steal your food. I started feeding six squirrels at one time and now I have in addition a 150 birds that come. I open the sliding door and tell the birds…hey I can’t afford all y’all…some of y’all have to go somewhere else. ☺️lol. See the squirrels are too busy, wanting to hide their nuts instead of eating some and then going to hide some later, because those birds are robbing them blind. lol 🤣

@awlthatwoodcrafts891111 ай бұрын
My wife and I were watching a squirrel across the street in our neighbor's front yard the other day. I rolled a walnut across the street to see if he would come get it, but it scared him up a tree more than anything else. So I got another walnut, picked up the one I threw, and put them both at the base of the tree he was in and went back across the street. After a few minutes, he came down and continued his helter skelter dashing about the yard and then he discovered the walnuts. He picked on up, went around to the side of the tree and buried it. He did not come back for the second one and it still right where I left it, 6 days later. I mention it because when you threw the whole walnuts out for the squirrels, none of them seemed bothered and just waited for them to stop rolling before they went to go pick one up. We only have a few squirrels in our neighborhood. It's a relatively new neighborhood (about 14 years old) and most of the trees have matured enough now to provide shelter for birds and squirrels. All the trees are oaks but some keep their leaves and others lose them in the fall (ok, winter down here in TX). We have the kind that lose their leaves so the squirrels don't hang out in our yard right now, that I know of anyway. Soon, I hope. I love watching them eat the peanuts in the feeder I made for them or hanging on the fence trying to eat from the bird feeders.

Some almonds contain enough of the chemical glycoside amygdalin to be dangerous to small animals. Maybe that is why Manny didn't want that almond. If you see any animal getting sleepy while eating an almond, this is what's happening but usually it only affects tiny animals like chipmunks with store bought almonds. Sweet almonds grown for eating usually have 1000 times less glycoside amygdalin than the bitter almonds they're descended from, but there is still a little glycoside amygdalin in them.
