Rico is so cute! ☺️ I enjoyed looking at his facial expressions, it seems as if he was thanking you every time after finishing a nut, and then saying like: "I'll take some more, ok?" It looks like he's enjoying your presence, so precious! 💞🐿️ God made such precious creatures, and it's wonderful to see when someone takes good care of them, creating special bonds! That is like a squirrel named Pete I used to feed. He looked so messy and his one eye was cloudy but as soon as he ate the nuts he began to improve. His eye was normal too! I'm happy about you knowing Rico for so long! ❤🐿

I’m so teary after watching this, Rico is dear to me too, he knows you saved him, we sure do…..one of our squirrels Cyril seems old and I worry every time he leaves we won’t see him again, but I’m so glad we help them along the way and hopefully with all our help these squirrels are having a longer, easier life with our love…..I’m so glad there’s animals and lovely humans like you in this world, you’re as lovely as your squirrels xx❤xx

It’s funny I noticed my squirrel will come to the table outside my living room and looks in the window to get my attention. Then runs to the back door and waits. Often laying flat on her belly with legs straight out. I take it as she’s getting really comfortable with me.

Laying on their belly like that it's splooting and they usually do that when they are warm. Probably cold water or cold fruits would be good for her when she does that.

Unfortunately, this afternoon I saw a squirrel being eaten by a feral cat. I can only clean up the squirrel's remaining and bury it. I am very sad but can't do anything, because that's the will of mother nature.
