On your edges, you could add "finding" bumps and divits to ensure everything is exactly flush. Additionally, you could place them slightly differently for left and right pieces to ensure the correct one is used on the correct side! 😃

I was thinking it the whole time you were ranting but then you said it: there's just no way you have time to fake anything. You already put out models and videos at a mind-boggling pace. I haven't even been watching that long and I've already seen you out recording a test flight at the crack of dawn before you take your son to school and an assembly video while your wife is waiting on you in the background to leave to go to the store lol. The only conspiracy I could even entertain is that you secretly spent the last 5 years banking designs and videos to release. But keep up the good work. It's really cool to see and you look like you enjoy it. I liked your rant. You've earned it. :)

After watching a few of your videos I get your mindset. You are a design guy. I don't believe you sell finished models but only plans. If your concept planes fly well with cosmetic flaws and rapid assembly (meaning your not 100% lined up on the seams for perfect streamlining) then you can sell your plans with confidence that the average hobby aficionado can successfully print, assemble, and fly your models. You have certainly found an untapped niche in the RC flight market.

Just stumbled across your channel. I’m impressed you are using generic PLA. thought for sure you would use Aero PLA. Cool stuff

Happy to send you print settings that don't string and don't require sanding

I’m using a raise pro 3D printer and I’m having stringing issues I’m also using light weight PLA with active foaming any suggestions?

Would be better if you spoke about the build and not the online drama. Your planes fly fantasticly and everyone who has purchased one knows the that.

Would it help with positioning the parts to have some pins and indents on the part edges? To lock their position and orientation?

what is this material ? is this 3d printed foam?
@leechild4655Ай бұрын
think he said its just PLA which is a sorta `easy grade` material to work with but generally is not durable or as durable as higher grade material. The tough stuff is great ya but takes forever to print something.
@hifinswordАй бұрын
I thought he said it was LIGHT-WEIGHT PLA, or LWPLA, NOT the usual PLA. It swells during the print so settings are critical. Don't ask me what they are 'cause a fellow club member prints the 3D items I have.
@bsr3280Ай бұрын
It is active foaming light weight PLA There is PLA lightweight PLA, and active foaming lightweight PLA.

It's not important to him they look like finished show birds. If you listen to almost any part of his audio, you will hear him say over and over again, he doesn't have time or want to clean up his models. He's building fast and moving on to the next model.

First of all what you’re flying is not high-performance it’s a Park flyer. You’re not a 200 mile an hour speed with electric Dr. fans like myself. You probably have never used a shubler fan or a lehner motor . These very fast aircraft were very hard performance. Were thrust vectoring will not offer the control for the very fast movements needed at those speeds. Thrust factoring was used in some of them, but not for flight controls. So what you need to do is stop acting like you have a fast plane or trying it as fast because it is very slow and it’s a Park flyer. What part fly or you can get away with murder. They’re very light and very easily controlled. Just like what you have. Think it’s cool what you got. But he doesn’t know what a performance thing. And those little Alaron‘s that your friend supposedly put on there an inch long why wouldn’t they just extend them right down the hall wing, then you have the best of both worlds. And I haven’t really watched your videos, but the elevons you’re using should be installed in the middle of the thrust of the fan. Haven’t seen but one video. You’re acting like you’ve created the greatest creation on the planet. It’s a slow flyer. Yeah and you’re supposed to have fun with it and you definitely are. but in the world a performance that’s kind of a joke. And if you were into the high speed high-performance jets that I am into. Were you use the very best in high-performance fans and electric motors and speed controllers usually on 48 V you’d understand the difference but from your view you can’t you haven’t done the high-performance stuff.

@@bsr3280 oh, and another thing is planes are always a little tail heavy he’ll get better control to put a little bit more weight in the nose. But you probably already know that because you’re in Idaho potato. Do you have the IQ of a potato
