Have seen the Documentary, both in English and Spanish . Riveting in both languages . Sister Clare Crockett is truly a one of a kind. Wish I could have known her on this side of Heaven. She seems real fun but very deep, not some shallow celebrity facade! Beloved Sr. Clare pray for us🙏🙏🙏💙💙💙✝️💛💛💛✝️❤️❤️❤️

While I don't have the desire to be famous; I do indeed have that desire to be known, seen, loved, thought about by someone. I have also seen people consumed by this desire, which is always sad.

And you are known, seen, loved, thought about by none other than God! How awesome is that?! And praying you also find a friend or loved one, if you don't already have one, that also knows, sees, loves and thinks about you. God bless.

@@mariac4602 I'm afraid it's not as simple as nice sentiments and prayers, though I thank you for your kindness nonetheless.

I think the desire to be famous has to do with the desire to be well liked, to be well thought of, to have high social standing, or to be well positioned socially in order to secure survival and to live well. Those despised by others, poorly thought of, or with low social standing are socially insecure. In our primitive past, being socially low made your life vulnerable. Being ostracized was as good as a death sentence. Those who feel socially low or insecure tend to fantasize more about being famous. It's a psychological coping strategy to fantasize about being famous or well liked. Movie stars are some of the most psychologically insecure people in the world. If you desire and accept praise from others, you also subject yourself to their criticisms and low opinions as well. Man's life is like the grass, here for a season. Man's time at his prime is even shorter like the flowering of the grass, here for a week. Man's opinions are like the morning dew on the grass, here for a few hours. All opinions will die when the one holding them dies, if not a lot sooner. Chasing after opinions is vanity of vanities, like chasing after the morning dew swept away by the wind. To everything under heaven there is a time and a season, except for Christ who is the man for all seasons. So, if the desire to be well liked motivates you to do good things, then it's not necessarily a bad thing or all in vain. Unfortunately, modern day fame isn't so much about doing good things as it is about doing impressive things which aren't necessarily good, but look good and are often vain. Sometimes they are bad things. Social media fame seekers confuse fame with infamy. As long as they get the attention, it doesn't matter whether what they do is vain or bad. Likewise, sometimes doing the right thing is unpopular, and those who do the right thing are censured, 'cancelled', or ostracized for it. If you were given the choice to become well liked and famous by doing what is wrong vs to do what's right but despised for it, which would you choose? Jesus said those who are out to save their lives will lose them, and those who lose their lives will save them. I take that to mean that those who do wrong in order to profit in life will lose their souls, whereas those who do right when it requires a sacrifice on their part will save their souls. What does it profit a man to gain popularity let alone the whole world, if he loses his soul in the process? In the movie A Man For All Seasons, Thomas More told Richy Rich who had just perjured himself in order to convict More, and who had just been awarded attorney general of Wales in exchange for his perjury, that it didn't profit a man to lose his soul for the whole world, yet he did it for Wales. He emphasized 'for Wales!' There's a world of difference between hearing God say, "Well done good and faithful servant!" vs hearing a worldly audience say, "Bravo!" The former is better than gaining the whole world. The latter is like gaining Wales in comparison. (Mind you, I have nothing against Wales. It's probably a lovely country, but it ain't heaven like Ireland.)
