The reason they Polish the rods is to make them less prone to breaking.it removes the rough casting marks and grooves where cracks start to form.

@@AdamNZ we use To do it on small block Chevy stuff years ago before all these after market companies made cheap rods.

@peispudly i accidentally ran this block a couple times at 30PSI it was tuned for 21PSI but really surprised how long it lasted. maybe they’ll get a second chance at life with my other engine i’m building on the cheap. Thanks for the info tho
