I bought this bass in 2019-same model just gen 2--incredible. Happy to see it holds up over the years. Enjoy your reviews thank you!

Just had to say you make some great interesting bass videos. By the way, back in the day in my band I was always the one drafted to sing the falcetto Boogie Oogie Oogie parts. I used to hate it. lol!

So glad to see this video. I bought my Sire V7 5-string (Alder) just over 3 years ago. It was your videos along with a couple other channels I watched that helped me feel more comfortable about buying a bass that I’ve never played. It’s still my number 1. Just started testing strings to make that change soon. Possibly getting another bass soon. I’ve played modern basses for the past 20+ years so I’m looking at the M-series. I’m looking forward to seeing what other bass you’re considering. Glad you’re well.

@@sr80bassguy Yeah seems like it. I own one bass which is a 4 string p bass but I kind of need to have a jazz bass for a broader tone.I don’t feel like I need the an extra string most of the time but maybe I should get the 5 just for the sake of it 🤔

Good seeing you Eddie, were Neihbors I live in Pasadena and I am still in love with my 1st gen V7 5 swamp/maple combo. I did do a few things to it. I put string trees for every string, had a guy make a leather pick guard, and I kept having issues with my B string screw on my bridge and it couldn’t be changed and it was to long I couldn’t get proper intonation, so I swapped it out and the tuners were simply cheap so I got Schaller’s. I took it on the road and it was the first bass I ever took out for more than a couple months that didn’t need neck tweek’n. I really love this bass I take a 2nd gen vantage 5 & a musicman I’ve had since the 90’s and I pretty much never play the 2nd gen and the musicman gets played on a couple tunes and right back down. I’m not sure if you heard of me and my brothers? Boy group from the 80’s we were Motown babies, Im one of the DeBarge brothers and I have always been our bass player except for certain occasions when I had to sing up front (I can’t play and sing on the level needed being up front) over the years I have had several Basses and I always had to have a couple of different pickup combos to achieve every song in the set but my V7 was able to get the job done solo. I did have to upgrade a couple cheaper parts as stated but it just made it that much cooler. I’m working on a project with a very good and well known bassist and I would enjoy it if you would look at taking on this project with us? It pays well and it’s something like SMV or that victor Steve Bailey gig? 3 bassist doing covers however we do have a budget and paid rehursals. If you would contact me via email (funkyfingrz@gmail) I can give you details on pay and rehursal times. The project was delayed a bit because of the virus but the money was distributed and the project has to move forward at this point. I’m looking forward to hearing from you keep up the groove

Solo and bass from "Smooth Operator".. good choice. I'm still digging my gen 1 Sire as well. I didn't bond as well with the Gen 2. Good video bro.

I saw Sire finally put out a 6-string, but only the M-line. I want a P7 6-string so bad!!
@sr80bassguy
@sr80bassguy 4 жыл бұрын
A P7-6 would be ridiculously good! But only if they offer an Ash Maple. I hate that they only offer Alder Rosewood. Not a fan. I sold my M7 because I didn’t like that wood combo on sires.
