You can speed up the RD shifting by ~50ms if you disable the double tap function (in the axs app). But then you have to sacrifice the new buttons (or blips) to shift the FD.

Would you upgrade the E1 calipers to Hope RX4+ for greater stopping power? Im sure the E1 is superior to the D1 or is it the same?

No I wouldn’t mess with that. The brakes are excellent.
