4:45 that was originally gonna be a sercet where you fought a bunch of eggmans due to one of the contributors finding the room and thinking it was unused, turns out it was made for multiplayer. In response the whole dramatic reveal for one ring bit was made

With the veggie keeps potato boss and teleporter room, roger (who collabed with the creator) saw a room with a bunch of eggmans and made a teleporter room to it, but the creator let him know it was meant for when 1 player beat another to the finish in multiplayer. Instead of scrapping the teleporter room, he made a troll room with a single ring. (Didn't see anyone else comment about it but he talks about it in his oldc video)

3:01 the last part in that level is a complete remake of Blockster Bay from a mobile game called Blocksworld. I actually talked to the creator of the stage and we’re making a SRB2K version of Blockster Bay.

your critique of the hub map matches mine from in development. my critique was ignored. Don't forget, you have the oldc's exit system of hold spin + Tab to exit You should have seen Veggie Keeps before the collaborators got to it. About knuckles in BMZ2 I know right?! We actually fought with the map maker over his efforts to restrict him from that path, but he still didn't listen. Length is the most common criticism I get on High Jump Hijinx That railway emerald hunt was Insane

Twas indeed my first map, came into existence bc I made a scrap brain remix I really liked and kinda progressed from there lmfao Happy a lot of the criticisms have been relatively consistent (and consistent with what I’ve thought is wrong with the level as I’ve gotten better) Hope you end up reviewing round 2 this year, both because it’s useful and also having that looming “sandwichface will review this” DEFINITELY improved some maps I cannot lie

Confined Ravine was basically a massive Rayman 2 reference. That's also where the "faires" come from. They're Lums and actually come from the Rayman series.

From your previous vids I was kind of expecting you to just rag on things negatively but surprised to see there's good crit here and good jokes too. One thing I wanna say though is I feel like Zaxel had been putting out levels in the past like he's Jigsaw torturing players unintentionally but he's been improving by leaps and bounds recently, you HAVE to give him more credit than what you did for his recent level I think he really deserves it!

my fave by far was Hoehle Denk Ich, but my favorite part of any srb2 level is emblem hunting, so a stage that does that in a unique and engaging way without actually being about emblem hunting is always gonna be a winner for me. Other than that, I think my thoughts line up pretty well with yours. other than the high jump level, I wanted that to be over by the third room XD

4:35 Do OLDC stages have emerald tokens? Because it definitely seems like if there were it'd have one on the Button/Pedestal instead of the ring.
