Very appreciative of yr adventurous cycle tour around SL. It's been enjoyable watching the 2 of u venture into unknown areas, peddling away n maybe feeling extremely tired. Well done ! The journey you two have done in SL amazes me very much. As you say there are so many places which needs to be explored in SL. Journey on a bicycle is a different journey all together you two have proved that. Thank you for cycling 42 days around this beautiful island & sharing your experiences with us. Best time to do it would be September, after august the summer heat drops significantly and toward December the rains will begin. But cycling in the rain is so much fun that it really wont matter too much! You should be fine even in August just make sure to have an electrolyte drink and stay hydrated!😃

@@Sheneller Thanks! I don't have a choice this year- only have August. What are the best times to start off that are cooler but have enough light? And would you recommend going clockwise or counterclockwise up into the Ella region from the south-southeast coast or vice versa?

You've created a very nice travel series and have received lots of congratulations. Well deserved. I enjoyed watching all episodes and learned so much about your country. I haven't seen many suggestions, so I'll offer some, as observations of this travel project and for future projects: * Less "shirt" filming * Less talking * More maps, especially upon arrival in a new place; country map for general location at a minimum. As you traveled, your location was often difficult to determine without doing a lot of guessing in Google Maps. Also, see place names below. * More spelled place names (on screen and in descriptions) * Fewer expensive resorts which are out of reach for many travelers * More ordinary hotels and alternate types of lodging * Less raving. If everything is "very" or "amazing", then nothing is very or amazing. * More batteries. Buy one extra each and bring it. Would have solved many problems. * Less Shenelle * More Shehaan (poor guy could barely get a word in edgewise, but it seems like he would have a lot to offer) Overall, nice job and very nice introduction to Sri Lanka. I've gone from being mildly curious to now wanting to actively plan a trip to Sri Lanka. Well done!

This is so lovely to hear thanks alot for the feedback. Much appreciated. In hindsight we too realized there was a lot we could’ve improve on. But considering we filmed and shot this whole series by ourselves whilst cycling everyday and editing on the move (during an economic crisis) I think it’s the best we could have done at the time with the resources available to us. With regards to the resorts they were the sponsors of the campaign and funded us the cash we needed to buy the bikes. Get the equipment and the budget we needed to finish the trip. Would have loved to have carried extra batteries but as we had no back up vehicle every kg we were carrying mattered and we opted against it. Again in hindsight might have done that differently. It was a tremendous learning experience and a once in a life time memory. So glad to see that it is being watched today and sparking curiosity in viewers. Agreed more shehaan would have been better 😂

Its a mirror world. The outside is inside. The inner tension, intension, determines the reality created through the filter of perception. Thank you for sharing guys. It takes a great will to do what you do at the level that you do it. I can't wait for my visit to SL in just a few days time. Just to drink coconuts and eat fresh fruit and listen to the beautiful birds will be my medicine for the next few weeks. Oh and some cycling. ;)

Much much big hug to you guys. I don’t know whether this is already discussed or is useless. Just saying. Since you guys have this experience, can you start this as a business? Eco-tourism packages for foreigners. That would create indirect business for lots of people. Even you can discuss it with the hotels. Based on the package you can grade the hotels etc, Not only for foreigners, but you can also even discuss with Sri Lankan communities as well as companies who want to participate their staff in some kind of eco-adventures. It would bring you a profit but more over your profit it would create more business opportunities for people who are living around the routes. I believe you guys have the right to start something like that.
