Very eloquent exposition of the subject matter.Hats off to Dr. Kareem. I was already aware to some extent about the contribution made by Bohra community towards commerce and trade but this episode has opened the door to know about the vast contribution made by the community in manifold fields. Especially their contribution towards education, arts and culture. It's a pity that the art collection of Lukmanjee was vandalized by British soldiers as do always happen due to the impunity enjoyed by the military during war time. The names of Jefferjee, Adamjee Lukmanjee, Adam Ali, Noorbhai, Hebbatullabhoy, Hazari etc are household names and hold a larger than life image in the minds of our people. It will be apt if a Bohra museum is established so that future generations would come to know about the life and times of these great people. Bohras are a community living in harmony with all communities. As a Tamil hailing from Jaffna, educated in Kandy and presently living in Colombo my admiration of the Bohra community has increased immensely.

A very interesting episode, and Dr Careem, as always amazes me with his knowledge, eloquence, and memory. He knows everything, and is so talented. I hope, as pointed by many others before, should be part of the foreign service and should represent the country as an Ambassador. This 28 year old lad is a fount of wisdom, and his services should be recognised.

Lovely explanation by Dr Careem, who seems very passionate about the Bohras, their history, and cuisine. Dr Careem, is a boy who is in love with history, and is witty, articulate and managed to speak highly of Royal (as Dr Careem himself is a Royalist) and Royalists, who helped Zahira. But for a Zahirian, Hassan Shazuli is talented.

Dr Zameer Careem, is a true scholar, and his vast knowledge proves his hardwork, and dedication. Though born into a privileged family, Dr Careem proves that not all Colombo 7 products are spoilt brats who are just pompous, and posh. Dr Careem gives the old Ceylon vibe, decent, eloquent, posh, prim and proper, unlike youngsters of this day and age. Surely he has been trained well.
