50 days old sometimes sleeps for more than 5 hrs (Upper limit not known as I wake her up at 5 hrs) She doesn't seem to be satisfied with 30 to 40min feed (not sure if she is latching the entire time). She becomes very fussy when I unlatch her. While feeding on demand, can we feed (cluster feeding) the baby as long as they want? I was cautious about not overfeeding and wanted to space the feedings (atleast 2 hrs) but she didn't gain any weight in one week. I m not sure if I have low supply coz urine count is 6+. I think I have forceful letdown (spraylike for first few mins) and baby coughs and chokes and keeps unlatching herself sometimes. I started taking lactare capusles after knowing that she didn't gain weight. Can I continue or can that create the forceful letdown worse? Can I continue demand feeding and cluster feed whenever she demands for? Very confused whether low supply or oversupply and letdown is the problem :(

I fed her continuously till she fell asleep for 2 days and the weight was increasing 30g/day so he said we can wait before starting formula. But I'm worried if feeding continuously create more issues. Also my consultation with the lactation specialist did not help me find a solution

Sir my 19days newborn breastfeeds for only 5-10mins and falls asleep. No matter what we do to wake her up she doesn't wake-up and feed. She doesn't even burp after trying for 10-15mins after feeding. We've tried different positions for burping but most of the time she doesn't burp. In 15-20mins she wakes up and starts screaming at the top of her voice. Try gently tapping her toe or gently brushing her ears with your fingers so that she wakes up. My baby is also 20 days old and keeps on sleeping a lot in feeding session. Even conpressing breast in cross craddle position when you are relaxed helps with the suction. Good luck
