There are so many optometrist old gadgets here, the oddity and fascination of it and your experience in knowing how to use it helped me fall asleep, along with calming whispers. You probably got asked this many times but did you work as one before? :p I can relate to this and its pretty accurate when I get new prescriptions. What a great Niche you've got here. I've always found the eye exam to be quite relaxing, although the best ASMR artists have me fighting to keep my eyes open.
