As someone who died as a secoff, and watched a KoS run past ALL of them several times, yea. (For the record, I use the PDA to keep notes of AoS or KoS people. I mostly only use the crew manifest to see how many people are in sec)

Some additional tips of my own: - Applying any amount of heat damage to yourself will cauterize bleeding, taking 5 heat from a welder is almost always preferable to taking constant damage from bloodloss and the following airloss - Pills can be put into water to turn them into their fluid contents, this can be done with floorpills and a metamorphic glass to find out what chemical they are made out of (as Metaglasses will name the contents of whatever chem they have the most in their glass) Also, the water contaminant can be removed by a empty damp rag or mop Also be warned, this can occasionally make you explode if you find a potassium pill or similar chem that reacts with water - Damp rags can be crafted, and with a water source are a less efficient but still viable way to clean large amounts of fluid on the floor, for when your janitor either doesn't exist or doesn't want to do their job - No insuls? no problem! if you need to do electrical work in an area, disable the APC by temporarily disassembling it (should you have access to it anyway) - Work in medical? Take out your ID and put it in your ID slot (where your PDA normally goes), and keep your pda in your backpack or pocket, this way, you dont have to worry about slipping and having someone steal your access while doing medical scans - Thirsty while doing salvage? Syringes can inject water directly into your veins, now you truly have no reason to ever set your feet on the station again - Weh? Weh!

Cloth can also bandage you if I’m not mistaken. Welders can cauterize bleeding in desperate situations. Space pens heal some cold damage iirc, they can be used post exposure to space or just if you’ve taken some random cold and you’ll be topped up (could be mistaken) Always carry a crowbar. They’re too useful when the power inevitably runs out, and they’re the most plentiful tool on the station by far.

I did not know about the shift+E About the space medipen, if you inject a security officer who's trying to arrest or search you they won't be able to. And I don't think MRP is necessarily about being more serious just treating it more as a device for creating stories? It's not super serious but you will see far more interesting characters with wonky personalities. People validhunt less, you actually have some chance of talking with those who are openly nuclear operatives or syndicates without immediately being gunned down, hostage situations happen and it's fun and messy.

SS13 on MRP servers the wizard rounds make for some of the most confusing and hilarious games. Either the wizard is going to kill 80 percent of the the crew or they team up with the clown to put on a sick magic show in the bar.

Mini tip about the Emergency EVA suit: If your a moth, it's the opposite case from a lizard (As they're resistant to cold, rather than vulnerable.) I've even walked out into expeditions which were cold with no hard suit (just bodyarmor) and the entire multi minute mission didn't take any real noticeable amount of damage. (Although it was likely not as cold as space, but still enough to trigger "Cold" not "Very cold" as moth) Another small thing, is that as spider you can make web and turn that web into cloth to make gauze or use the cloth itself to heal. (Though do be careful as doing so makes you hungry.)

Yeah, along with using E to quick open the inventory UI. The different between modern me, and old ass basically CAVEMAN me (who didn't know those buttons existed) is painful. Going from literally right-clicking, opening the inventory, grabbing 1 item off the bottom, then closing it every time I was done with it was... a whole new level of pain to how much easier it is these days.

Regarding cloth to gauze: you can actually just use cloth directly to gauze wounds! Another tip: The right click menu will let you interact with hidden entities! Especially useful for catch annoying mice hiding away, or cleaning blood underneath a table!

Duffel bags hold more by 20 space than all other bags, but other bags can be much more aesthetic, so your choice depends on your values of utilitarianism vrs aesthetic preferences. Also all syndicate duffels come with 131 space, if you don’t mind getting caught with them. Hats, jackets, and certain other articles of clothing can hold items. If you’re trying to conceal items and don’t want to spring for the internal storage, you might want to try something like the extra large top hat. Who knows, sec might never check it. Often if there’s an imposing door in your way, it can be easier to just go through an adjoining wall to get to a place you need to go.

Not sure about that. One tip i can give is that there seem to be two stages to a pattern of how enemy acts. At first they only attack and when their hp gets lower they start to heal and steal your magic along side attacking. So bringing their hp lower as fast as possible to enter stage two was my strategy.

Tip to getting a multitool: Ask Cargo or Science to lathe one for you. Asking science is preferrable since they usually have more resources on standby. Just remember to have a good reason if they ask, especially if you're planning on doing less legal activities.

It's old ss13 feature that you can place big tank on your back. I will say that if you don't armor but have belt for storage than it can be handy if station don't have o2 in air for a long period

You can disarm people of any item they are holding by right clicking them with an empty hand. Alternatively if you think somones trying to disarm you swapping hands will stop it. Might have included this one not sure

I used to dismantle furniture to fix up breached areas in lighting speeds with the Shift + B/E in 13, I actually thought this was something people knew here as well.

i had a blast playing SS14 for the first time yesterday! I played SS13 for 2 days now and still have some issues with basic mechanics and controlls. But yesterday oplayed on a MRP server and played for a total of around 11h. that was 2 diffrent shifts and i made some nice friends! They showed me how to do R&D, how to mine and salvage, we had a good crew 7-8 strong going at some point and were landing on planets and exploring ruins. I had such a blast with SS14! .. well if there wasnt this one issue.... at the end of my 2nd shift i missclicked in harm mode and attacked a stranger ONCE. and i missclicked. so i disabled harm mode and stayed passive and slowly walked away when i got suddenly teleportet around took mayor damage and died to an admin punish me... and then the text on my screen appeared: care to explain? I said i was sorry and i missclicked. They said, i have to follow rules even on round end. implying i did it on purpose. well that was so fucking shit. Like wtf man, couldnt you ask me to explain before fucking killing me like that? A really amazing first experience with the game ended with me frowning over this incident and left a real bitter taste ... :(

There is a better way to check for budget insulos: touch (non-broken and powered) lights. Doing so deals a lot less damage than punching LV wires. If the light burns your hand, then it's shit budget insulos; if you can remove it, then it's the real deal insulos.
