@@ricogothitz9997 yes you can. Go ahead. It will work like a normal external hard disk bro. All your old personal files+windows files will be there. If you are not going to use your laptop afterwards, you can even delete the windows files for some more space....

Dinesh S P ok one last question, so my laptop didn’t really break it was updating and I turned it off and now it’s stuck in a reboot loop and I can’t access my desktop. I guess I can use this technique so I can save my files. I ran a diagnostics test on my laptop and the hard drive works fine . I just want my files to be saved I have to much school work that I do not want to lose .

okay, here's what I see in this video that doesn't add-up; I can see on the old hard drive it's got a 4 pin bus spaced a couple mm away from the SATA Bus _(that hard drive needs to be powered, it's looking a power cable...& it can't get power through the Sata Bus like the two Mid-2012 MacBook Pro's I just upgraded...)_ so my question here, is how are you powering that hard drive?!?
