SSD USB vs Seagate Card on Xbox Series S

I own a X box series X and I do not like only haveing 1 option to get external hard drive that you can play games, I think the PS 5 m.2 option is way better and cheaper

i got the 1 tb seagate for the xbox sx mine fell off a truck so i aint worried about the 50 bucks i spent on it but i going to buy a wd black d30 2tb next

380GB not MB :D Thanks for the review tho, I just purchased T7, but haven't opened it yet, for obvious reason; doubt if it will underperform :D I'm not sure if I'll return it back, and go for Seagate, because I'm not sure how many games will be affected by this...

@@theshockbro Cool, most of the games I play are still from last gen or even xbox360 and the T7 has been great so far. And I save my internal storage for current gen games. Xbox is really leaning into cloud streaming so I guess we have to see where they take that. I like having my games available locally though.

I just used 2 m.2 500gb pcie gen 4 drives in the usb ports with usb 3.2 adapters.. it moved 70gb ish worth of games and dlcs in about 20 seconds pretty nice. Thats what you should do instead of a standard sata 3

the console ports only support sata speeds so literally any SSD should perform the same.

I have the 2Tb sea gate will take me 5 months to pay off 🙈 as didn’t want a ssd hanging at the back of my Xbox wanted a clean look.

Optimized games will not play if its not on the expansion card or Interal SSD, So its able to be stored on an external SSD but not played.
