Why (good) Gen players are godly. 1. Gen has some of the lowest health among the entire Street Fighter cast. 2. One of the most difficult characters to both use and master (using him requires you to constantly switch between two fighting styles to be fully effective.) 3. Doesn't do a lot of damage and has to work fairly hard to win matches. I have mad respect for Xian. He took what is considered a low tier character and is playing him pro level.

***** I said some of lowest, not the lowest. And actually, Seth has the lowest HP of any character.

Humorous LOL Set up wise gen does an obscene amount of damage, his fadc combos do great damage of hit confirms, and he has the gigantic super into ultra combo which makes people respect his footsies more. you could say he is hard to master, but so is any other character at high level

daniel lopez Not really. I been playing Gen since Vanilla, and I can tell you right now his damage is not that great. The kind of damage output you are talking about with fadc combos requires a ton of meter, and many of the other characters can do the same damage without even having to fadc. Also, characters like Zangief can easily even out the match in one pile driver. In the end you can't really rely solely on his super to ultra just to win the fight, especially if you are going to rely on fadc combos. Also, many of Gens special attacks leave him wide open to retaliation if blocked, further proving how much skill it takes to even use him semi effectively. Also, he is no where near as easy to master as many of the rest of the cast. With two stances, two supers and two ultras, he is arguably the most difficult character in the game to master. If what you said above was true, he would be more widely used in tournaments. There's a reason Gen players are rare, not to mention tourny Gens.

did you see how easily he dropped ken from around 80% damage to death with a super and a set up? And i never said you need his super to ultra to win, but when he has that loaded, on match point, you arent gonna fuck around with gen. Also you are kind of just saying nonsense, everyone has special attacks that leave them wide open, have you ever seen a missed dp or a mis placed fireball? Just because the character has two stances doesnt make him any harder to use than any other character, sure he has more normals to use, but when you play at a high level, and i can tell you have not, you will see that an obscene amount of dedication is required to win with any character, weather it be a simple balrog, makoto, gen or c viper.

Xian might be the most underrated fighting game player of alltime. I always hear players talking about Daigo,jwong,tokido,sonicfox,etc. And those guys deserve to be talked about cause they are so great,but I think people need to acknowledge Xian more often. His resume says that he is one of the GOATS

I ve got to know that in the Ultra,Ken will have Dhalsim's long arms abilities: but instead of the long punch,it will be a kara thrown.... coz apparently capcom got too many complaints saying that Ken's kara wasn't long enough (2m distance grab)

Hmm actually I find hands easier on pad. What inputs do you use? Usually when I do hands, I do mp -> lp -> mp -> lp -> hp, so the idea is to slide the finger up and down and then press hp. With Blanka and Honda it's the same, just starting with lp. So it's lp -> mp -> lp -> mp -> hp. Hopefully this helps. Don't know if you modded your pad, but if you haven't modded it, this is probably the easiest way of doing hands consistently on pad.

Trading in TF2 is work in it's purest sense if you want to profit. It's like a stock trading simulator! But anyways, meaning of the word work is contextual, as are most words.

if you see more matches most of the time they do that it fails it rarely happens and you say he had so many chances but when you are playing its different because you dont know what your opponent is going to do and of course you're going to know if they couldve done it or not you're watching the video when the match already happened -_-

What does "whiff punish" mean? I understand what punish is but what does whiff mean?
@Memanruler
@Memanruler 10 жыл бұрын
"Whiff" is when you completely miss a move, as in it fails to connect with the opponent at all. Say you throw a fireball (hadoken), and it hits the opponent, they will have block/hit-stun applied to them as a result of the move connecting successfully. This makes it so that even though fireballs are very unsafe (meaning it takes a longer recovery time for the user from using the attack then it does for the opponent blocking/getting hit) they have to wait through the block/hit-stun, which gives the user time to recover without being attacked. If a move is whiffed however, all the effects of the move apply to the user (start-up time, active frames, and recovery frames) still happen, but the opponent isn't affected by block or hit-stun, giving them even more time to punish the move with a more powerful combo. A little long winded, but that's "Whiff" and "Whiff Punish" in a nutshell.

@megac4
@megac4 6 жыл бұрын
To starters, because it's the simpler one and demands less from the computer. The very same reason serious shooter players always play their game at the lowest quality and sometimes without textures at all. Performance comes first. Also, its markers on the ground help measuring the spacing.

It's so funny to watch "high level" people play. Nobody ever does wake up ultras, but I saw so many times it would have won the match or turned the tides for ken so many times. The Gen player dashes towards almost every time when he knocks down ken. 4:07 is prime example.

mrdante361 : Yeah, sometimes doing noob stuff is really powerful, especially in this game. Also, I have no idea why Momochi didn't DP Xian's jumpins on his wakeup; Ken has 3 frame startup uppercuts and they beat Gen's safejumps for free. Sure, empty jumps still work but it has to be timed perfectly. Stupid of Momochi, really. He let Xian put pressure on him for free despite using noob fuck Ken who can just DP safe jumps. That being said, Ultra is going to have delayed wakeup which will make this game even more of a reversal mash fest. Fucked up.
@blackhairedgoon8218
@blackhairedgoon8218 10 жыл бұрын
Theyre called safejumps for a reason. If theyre timed right (which for these guys they definitely are) they land before any reversal can come out.
