We had our debit card stolen at a gas station when our kids were little. The thieves completely drained our bank account. I’ll never forget my 7 year old asking me if we had no money, did that mean we were going to be homeless. Fortunately because it was bank fraud, we got our funds back after a few weeks, but straightening that up was awful. Hope you guys can be free from the mess soon!

As a kid, our neat pogo stick was stolen from the corner where we left it. We did not get a replacement so that was a hard lesson. Just recently a fraudulent bill on a credit card caused me to get a new acct no but within a month another charge appeared. Also exactly one year an old charge I disputed again appeared on the new no. Everything came from Calif. I hope you have the chance to put all your original ideas on your current site and explain what happened. They even used your daughter's picture!

Back in the height of Covid my wife and I traveled north to our sons property and stayed in our fifthwheel until cold weather. When we got back home I discovered someone has stolen the outboard motor from our boat. We felt anger and fear. 43 years in this neighborhood and now we don't feel safe.

According to Whois, the domain was registered via godaddy, you should contact them about the copyright and especially the COPPA problems, I'm sure the site will be offline very quickly. When I was a teenager there was this girl that was related to my step dad. Every single time she came over something of mine went missing. The last time she came over I was working at McDonalds and she stole my McDonalds uniform. Nobody ever listened to me or cared that she was stealing from me. I greatly dislike thieves and liars.

It's one thing to squat on a domain, it's another thing to pass off someone else's website as their own. It's a good idea to let people know you no longer have control of the website. In previous comments I have said I am a plumber. I worked in Chicago for my first 20 years (family business). Guys always getting their vans broken into, but not me. I finally had a window smashed, twice, and one tool taken each time (smash and grab) the same tool too. First the old one, then the new replacement. Finally, parked near the John Hancock Building, where I was working. I took minimal tools with me. I came back to a van with the door lock having been ripped out and the doors opened and everything taken. My tools, company tools, some tools that were my Grandfathers, gone. Like you said, "it is a sinful world". Others out there are devising schemes to take from others, what is not theirs. Even thinking they deserve your stuff. Humans are debauched until they allow God to reach in and change their hearts and make them new. SSL Family friends, if you haven't, why don't you look into Jesus? He has the answers. I don't. I am sure Todd will say he doesn't. It isn't about us or a church or even you. It IS about JESUS. GOD is Good all the time! God's Love is forever. Jesus Loves you! You mentioned legal options you may have, I would encourage you to pursue them. In a past life I dealt with these issues often feel free to reach out for direction. This wouldn’t be a difficult case to prosecute it’s open and shut. The domain registration is public, and from there the contact information or details for the “owner” of your former site is available to see. You could probably even get their monetization contact information online as well. At a minimum you could regain control of your information and content. The fact that they continue to operate your “name” out there is a huge liability for you too, they could cause reputation damage in addition to all kinds of other issues for you. This really should be taken care of sorry it happened.

I think you should come down on the thieves like the hand of God, lawyer up, sue them for copyright infringement and sue the website hosting company for the same, the higher up the food chain you get, the quicker the old website will either be handed back or taken offline.

Yes, it's awful the lack of morals and integrity some people have nowadays. I moved almost a 1000 miles a few years ago and paid a moving company well to help pack and move my belongings. I'm not a wealthy person. However, I accumulated things that were of value to me. After finally getting through unpacking many of my boxes and looking for furnishings, I found that things dear to me had been stolen. 😢 They were tipped well for their hard work and fed well over the days they packed. Karma will catch up to the thieves. You don't get away with evil. It will catch up to you eventually. I detest liars and thieves! So, SSL Family Dad, I understand how you feel.

Yes we had a computer savy guy mess with our small family business web page. We were able to find out who it was. I own Kodiak LED Lighting & Accessories here in Canada. We offer quality products. Anyways he made it so that when someone searched for us on google and clicked our website… they would be taken to his page selling the same products. However he had a different company name. He made a similar website name as ours. He also took the photos from our customers and added them to his page. I would say “this is Mike Miller from Alberta”. While showing his combine tractor lit up at night. But on his page he would just change the name and location. We found the owners name to that company and was able to contact him and threaten legal action. He kissed butt and said he did it because his friend in the USA wanted to use the “kodiak led” name. Well his friend has and we get tones of calls saying they bought Kodiak led flashlight from Menards or Walmart and they have failed after a short period of time. Its very frustrating to deal with because they dont publish contact info to get ahold of them. So their upset customers are contacting us in canada. 😢 Lawyer said we are in 2 separate countries and not much can be done about it

We pride ourselves on quality. They took our name and near identical logo and scab off cheap bottom of the barrel products through walmart and menards. We are in a province near the same size as texas with only barley over 1mil pop. Vs Texas with 28mil. What im getting at is we made the decision to sell top quality because of our low population we need happy customers because happy customers are repeat customers. And we need happy repeat customers to make it year to year or else we would be out of business. Then you get this pair of snakes who did us dirty like that and continue to till this day. He made the decision to offer junk and to do so with access to well over 300mil potential buyers in the usa. I guess he sleeps well knowing hes making money while being a snake. We were able to find that the USA kodiak actually has some other names they operate under. I politely asked the owner to plz stop using our name. Nust to prove him wrong i asked when they started using the name he paused and muttled his words and said “i dont know”. Hes fully aware of what hes doing. He said he has no desire to stop using the name. He could easily stop and continue his businesses operating with one of his other names “promier” “litezall” but they refuse to. I guess we will have to continue taking calls from their upset customers with faulty products. 😢

My purse was stolen, from my car, that was parked in a church parking lot where I was taking Bible study. I shouldn't have left it. And, I really shouldn't have let it bother me as much as it did, so I made myself pray for the souls of the thieves every time I thought about them. I begged God to bring them, prostrate to that very alter. I'll never know if they repented but, even as I type this, I pray for them still. It has helped me more than it could ever help them. These jokers do this day in and day out. They will continue to prey on people's neglect. My mother in law had long term care insurance. After My father in law passed away, they stopped sending billing notices and the payment got neglected. They did however figure out how to send a cancellation notice. Now when it is needed, the insurance is not there. See how dishonest people take other people's work? Look at fine print in long time warranties. Had a Chrysler Van with a "Lifetime warranty" What was covered was in the dealer computer that I could not access. This warranty required that I get the car inspected by a dealer every 5 years within a 2 month window of the purchase anniversary. For 200,000 miles, the dealer honored the warranty. I religiously changed the oil and maintained the vehicle. At 225K miles, the alternator failed, and when the bill came due it was $500 to $600. At that point I learn about the fine print of the inspections which I never knew about because it was buried in the Dealer's Computer access( or maybe not, how would I ever know?) . Still driving it at 249K miles. But the only way you can take care of high value items is to make a maintenance or payment schedule to make sure you and your loved ones (if you die or lose your mental capacity) know what Assets you have and what needs to happen to them to maintain them (insurance premiums, License fees, Bank accounts, Investments, Pet shots, Health care checkups, Dental, Property taxes, Utility Bills, communications bill, etc)

I'm sorry. Years ago (pre KZbin), I was pretty active on wooden bowmaking forums. I had my own website and published a lot of content. It wasn't monetized in any way; but it did help me on a side gig. So much of it was stolen. I even had one guy ask me if he could use it on his commercial site and I said "sure with proper credit given". He stole it anyway and never gave credit. It really tarnished me. I have forgiven them all but am more aware when I publish content about how people will steal it. Your stuff is great and I have followed your journey for many years. Keep going. Sorry to hear that. I worked in IT for years and I've noticed that any domain name that has been used and not renewed will often be bought for advertising. It seems any used domain name has potential to have some residual traffic and some companies try to capitalize on that. I suspect these companies aren't stateside. Your scenario seems a little more planned. I worked for a company and the owner had developed a robotic saw. He had it patented. Another company copied it and started selling it. After looking at the costs and difficulty he decided to put his energy into out innovating and company and building the best product. I always remember that as in this world sometimes we just can't find justice but we can always do what is right.

Unfortunately this is just another example of how far we've fallen as a society. The Bible warns us of a time such as this. It still amazes me how fast some will throw aside everything good and righteous in this world to benefit themselves even a small amount. They consider theft to be an accomplishment, but they'll never know the true feeling of actual accomplishment that comes from putting the work into something worthwhile.

Just saw this video. I don't know who you are referring to and I am curious if it could be someone I watch. Most important point I would like to make is that I... Me.... The guy typing... Have done many bad things in my life of 58 years. Many things I have not done but many that I have. I think the spirit that guides us is the spirit that we feed the most. I am constantly remembering things that I have done years past and even knowing that God has forgiven me, I long for mans forgiveness as well. I ask that God had repaid many times the blessings that I may have taken or destroyed that wasn't mine. Realizing that I have done wrong and caring about the impact it had or may have had on others is painful to me as it should be. Most of the harmful actions I committed took place before 1990, but I did a lot of harmful things of a different nature after that period. I have been given "grace" by God, and many time by man as well. I appreciate the goodness that still exists among the evil but I pray that soon evil will be cast down for good. I pray regularly that God take my sin nature and replace it with His Spirit nature. The person / persons that have done you wrong may very well find themselves in my current situation of wishing they had done differently. God does re pay.

It’s hard not to hate the world sometimes! 😢 You probably already know this, but just in case: At its essence, this is a copyright violation situation. The way copyright law works, the moment you create something - write a poem, take a photograph, sew a dress of your own design, sketch a picture on a scrap of paper - your creation is AUTOMATICALLY protected by copyright law. You do NOT need to file for copyright. Therefore, all of your website content (articles, photos, etc) are protected creations. Furthermore, it’s quite easy for you to prove you’re the originator of that work. If you ever wanted to go down the cease & desist road, I would suggest considering copyright violation. I’m NOT a lawyer, but wanted to just flag this up. Wishing all good things for you and your family.

I would probably sue as well if possible but then again the Bible dos say, if someone takes your tunic, give them your cloak also. I would change all the links to where your vids only go to your new website first of all, then get what is owed to you and yours if possible. That way ppl are goin to your new link and not the old. Did learn about how dishonest/untrustworthy some people can be rather early, as sad as it may be, and from my own relatives. If I might ask, what brand of lighting would you recommend for an aquaponics setup? Fish keeping/breeding's a hobby of mine, I've cultivated aquatic plants, and I've grown vegetables on their own, but never done a full-on aquaponics setup. It would help keep them growing year-round, provide extra food for the family, and maybe for the fish (specifically soft green/red lettuce and peas).
