St. Augustine Inshore Fishing Rally

This fishing adventure takes place just south of historic St. Augustine, Florida at Frank Butler Park West. Today I meet up with a group of friends to enjoy the sunny 70 degree weather for fishing and food. The intracoastal waterway in this area has some great structure offering hundreds of oyster bars, docks, grass shorelines and creeks.

We have many members of the Gheenoe family that start with a Gheenoe and then upgrade to other boats and they attend our rallies still. We also have rallies in different areas in the SE. Let me know where you are near and then when the next rally comes up I will let you know. I have a fishing addiction and have a kayak and a bay boat. My favorite fishing is in shallow water so I use the Gheenoe the most. Thanks for watching!

Oh that's great! I just moved to the Jax area (ponte vedra). Only had the boat out once because I just don't know the area well enough to know where to go. I came from south florida where the inshore fishing and terrain are totally different. lol. Would love to know about rallies in my area.

I live in Jacksonville too. Launching at the 210 bridge and heading south towards Pine Island is a great area to fish. You will find a lot of creeks and oyster bars that hold fish. I am originally from the Ft. Myers area and our tides are nothing like we have here in Jacksonville. My favorite tide to fish in this area is 2 hours before to 2 hours after the low tide. The water temperature ranged between 65 and 68 degrees on Saturday. The water was also very clear. Thanks for watching!
