St. Augustine Tours and Sightseeing - The Old Town Trolley

Today we are in full tourist mode in St Augustine Florida.
We check out of our Airbnb and head for a quick breakfast at Dunkin Donut before signing up for our historic tram tour of the city.
Today is record breaking heat so we decide to visit the Castillo de San Marcos first to see the huge fort where the Spanish defeated the attempted French invasion of the city.
After a stop for some refreshing drinks, we take the full tram tour of the city limits, a place rich in both beauty and history.
We then head back to the main stop to visit the oldest museum in the town and finally the Jail.
The Jail was our favorite tour, it showed the darker side of the St Augustine sheriff in a very interactive and moving way as you walk in the shoes of a prisoner.
Time to head back down south and with a quick call in WaWa and a typical summer shower we make it safely back to Orlando Florida.

Loved watching your 2 day visit to St. Augustine. I took my son there in the 1990's on one of our many WDW visits. Loved seeing the Fort again and reminising over our time spent there. I love going on trolley tours. Did one last April in Tarpon Springs down to St. Pete. They're so much fun.Thanks

pretty cool except for the weather! thanks for showing us those things as i sit in my well air conditioned home! lol :) I still don't know how people in England survive without AC i did not know until i started watching the lodge guys that that was a normal thing. i'm still baffled by it.

The weather is so damp and cold in the UK you don’t normally need AC for the 1 or 2 weeks a year it gets into the 80’s

This vlog brought back some great memories of visiting the fort at St. Augustine way back in 1992 . Can't remember how much the entry was back then, but I don't recall it being too much as I was backpacking across the US and didn't have much coin 😀.

Really enjoyed this one Bazza. Our first trolley tour was in Key West a few years ago (x 2 now), did the St. Augustine one maybe 8 years ago , well worth the time. We did the Savannah trolley tour this spring it was the same, lot's of history and very knowledgeable drivers. Visit the square where Forest Gump sat and regailed his guests with his story. Thanks for the memories. And if you ever go up to Myrtle Beach . . . . . . Glad you all had a great time there. Oh and we did the trolley tour in 2022 at Christmas for the Night of Lights tour, it was cool!
