My son passed away Oct 15, 2021 at 21 years of age. I chose the peace prayer to be included opposite his picture as he loved St. Francis. I thank God for the 21 years I had with him and I offer my pain up to join with Christ's Passion. Mother Mary I weep with you but I will not lose hope, with the strength of the Holy Trinity and your help Good Loving Mother. I was so excited when a neighbor asked if I wanted her St. Francis garden statue. I planted a flower garden around it. It is located abreast an outside table where my neighbors, mostly lapsed Catholics, come over to sit & visit. I feed the deer and foxes who eat 10' from where we sit. Ihave started praying to St. Francis to touch my wayward neighbors'hearts and bring them back home. And then, while doing chores, your St. Francis talk came up. Yes, our faith is so amazing & beautiful.

My father was killed in a work accident when he was 41....I was 17. We were a Catholic family..mom, dad, and 7 kids all from the same mom and dad. Mass every Sunday, we all made our sacraments (seemed like we went to confession weekly..ha)...but we never talked about our faith at home, and the Catechism classes weren't that much better! Anyway...my dad was born on Oct.4th and his name was Paul Francis. I decided at age 50 to learn why we do, and why we believe what we do as Catholics. I just realized a year ago, at age 59, why my dads middle name is Francis! I feel blessed to have figured that out, and a kind of sadness that no one ever told us. I should mention that my mom was a convert (which I didnt know until after her death) and she also died relatively young (55). St. Francis, please let my dad know that I figured out that he is your name sake, and that I love him! Also, if you could intercede for me and ask Jesus to please be with me, and allow my dad to watch over me...as I am going through a very difficult time right now! 💠

Thank you so much Fr. Chris for sharing to us the heroic life of St. Francis of Assisi. It reminds me of stripping myself more of earthly belongings and worldly attachments that I don’t really need anymore, such as books and household articles. God is everything, what more do I need. He can fill me with Himself only when I’m empty of many things that hinder my union with Him. Jesus is the only happiness my heart desires. In many ways, He manifested His love and mercy in my life, the reason I can’t refuse Him anything He ask from me. @@mekaqb6605 Thank you, MEKA QB, it is really appreciated. I have to get sprayed for the precautionary of bedbugs. The apartments beside me have bedbugs. Even though I don't have bedbugs and my apartment is a precautionary spray the stuff gets all over the place and when I return to the apartment six hours after being sprayed I have to clean most of the chemical from counters, furniture etc. I have mostly everything packed up that I don't want the chemical to land on. It's a bit of work. What I hate most about the chemical is that it clings to everything until it get washed off.

@@mekaqb6605 When dealing with cockroaches or even bedbugs there are two essential oils that they hate. Those two oils are Eucalyptus oil and Peppermint oil. In my opinion get them both in the bigger bottle because even though you use these oils by drops the bigger bottles (118 ml) will last longer. When I first dust my furniture I fill an all purpose spray bottle with water, a little vinegar and 10 drops of each of those essential oils. When i wipe up my floor i use the same combination but with hot water from the tap, a little vinegar and 20 drops each of the essential oils in your bucket. When purchasing these two oils in the 118ml sized bottle it might seem very expensive but the last time I bought a big bottle of both was in Oct. of 2020 and I have only half a bottle of each. The best type of store to purchase the essential oils is a health food store because that's where you can purchase the bigger bottles for a much longer supply. When you see a cockroach and you have that solution in your spray bottle then grab the bottle, find the cockroach and spray it on the bug because they die instantly. One of the best prayers that I like to pray when frustrated is called "Be At Peace" by St. Francis de Sales.

I really liked your seminary class about St. Francis. He's a good example of how we can all learn from saints no matter how many years/centuries ago they have passed away. It's understandable how you wouldn't be able to also talk about St. Therese of Lisieux, because of how much there was to talk about St. Francis. I hope that you get into talking more on the lives of the saints.

You may already know this by now… your text is 10 months old. If you are interested in the Catholic faith, go to a Catholic Church and enter into the RCIA classes. They are about 5 to 6 months long and take it step-by-step. Do not be discouraged , because there is no fast track. It is a journey.🙏🏻❤️

23:04 mother Angelica would have been my patron saint in June at my confirmation but she wasn't canonized yet so I couldn't but she is the one who got me to return to the Catholic sacraments in these ending times 💯🙏🥰 I think I'm going to end up watching this one over and over too like the advent one I've listened to 15 times 😂
