This day is shared by St Margaret Mary. My daughter was named for her, but has never liked her name, so every year I send her a card to "Hedwig".

One note: The pictures of Saint Hedwig in these images is the Polish Saint Hedwig/Jadwiga. I believe she was originally Hungarian, not Bavarian . . . She was married to the pagan Polish king Jagiełło and she converted him to Catholicism . . . I'm not sure who this "King Henry" person is . . . Is it an anglicized version of "Jagiełło" or is this a different Saint Hedwig, who also happened to be an Eastern European queen? Are there two Saint Hedwig's.
@cordasuenaviolin6043 жыл бұрын
Yes, there are 2 different Saint Hedvigs.

Schlesien (Silesia) is currently under Polish occupation. I am Bavarian also and grew up with the poor Silesians who were driven out at gun-point, regardless of age, by the Poles. The sufferings of the survivors was immense. St. Hedwig is still their patroness; in our Catholic Bavaria, Hedwig always has been a beloved name.

Communalism and Communism are not synonymous ^^. Jesus and the Essenes were communalists, not communists, are a monasteries etc. peace.

Wow! In heaven with God forever: There is only one God who is eternally manifesting himself in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The Bible says, that we are all sinners. As it is written: There is none righteous, no not one. Romans 3:10 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags. Isaiah 64:6 For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23 (The word “death” in this verse speaks of spiritual death in hell.) But the cowardly, UNBELIEVING, Abominable murderers. Sexually immoral, sorcerers,idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Rev 21:8 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Isaiah 1:18 Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and that He was buried,and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures 1Cor 15 3:8 In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:14 For by grace ye are saved; through faith and not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast EPH 2:8 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vein Galatians 2:21 If you would like to receive Jesus as your Savior. Realize that you are a hopeless sinner and trust in Jesus and only Jesus to save you. You can say a prayer expressing your gratitude, sorrow for your sins, etc. the words don’t matter, but remember your prayer DOES NOT save you. Your trust in Jesus and what He did for you on the cross is what saves you. The moment you trust in Jesus and only Jesus, you are sealed by the Holy Spirit and are saved forever.
