St Ives, CORNWALL - spectacular sunshine in October

Today we bring you with us on holiday to St Ives, on the north coast of Cornwall, where we journey in our Roller Team Auto Roller 707 motorhome with our 2 rescue chihuahuas.
We're not sure what to expect - Cornwall looks amazing in every other KZbinr's video, but my experiences (admittedly 20+ years ago) suggested that everything might be shut out of season - back then, even in early September it seemed everyone had closed for the winter. Thankfully, this wasn't the case and pretty much everything was open - and lovely.
We stayed at Ayr Holiday Park (see our campsite tour and review at • Ayr Holiday Park - A B... ) which was a fantastic base.
We got really lucky with the weather - on some days we could even have complained it was too hot! It was sunny and even on the days when the forecast was poor, it turned out much better.
As a result, we spent most of our time on the various beaches that St Ives is home to, leaving limited opportunity for exploring the independent shops, cafes and restaurants - which all looked very enticing.

What a lovely video, looked like you and the dogs had an amazing time, and even the weather played ball. 🌞 St Ives is a beautiful place (maybe just avoid August time) when your literally rubbing shoulders with every other tourist. Hope you enjoyed Lands End & Sennen too. PS: by the time you return those roads works on the A30 should all be completed (only been doing it for almost 4 years) 🤣 Enjoy Cornwall it's a stunning county so much to see and explore. Thanks for your comment, we loved it all! We've got plans to come back in 2024 and looking forward to visiting some of the same places and exploring new places too. Definitely not in August though 😉 - most places are too busy for us then tbf.
